Dice truly had some of the coolest movement and gameplay mechanics in this game and just threw it all out the window including destruction for 2042. Awful shame.

@@thedonutmen3471 compared to bf1 it definitely had less destruction but thats also because bf1 had so much destruction to the point to where you could practically erase the whole map.
im sure its because of all the extra work they had to do for the portal
i have been playing since the beta and the funny thing is this happens in every round, sometimes it can be even more intense, for example: you are fighting for the last point up the mountain with soldiers running all over the place flying from tank shots as you are trying to weave and zigzag across them, u look right you see a whole team getting obliterated by an airplane raining down bullets on them and then dropping a bomb finishing any survivors. you look left you see a friendly tank firing a shells like its there is no tomorrow, you look in front of you see enemy air artillery whaling down, you decide to push through to reach the enemy point, friendlies flyin, bombs dropping next to you, soldiers running, dirt flying, bullets passing, airplanes flying, shells exploding, machine guns tearing, you decide to take cover behind a rock. and THEN you hear a strange menacing buzzing sound coming from the sky, you look up and see a v1 rocket coming full speed you try to run away but its already too late and when that rocket comes down, when i tell you the battlefield becomes silent for a brief moment, everyone is screaming on the ground (waiting for a revive, they scream when downed). whats truly horrifying is people experienced this in real life

Yep. Most of their senior dev team left and all the new hires have no idea how to use the Frostbite engine. Really a shame, Dice/EA had one of the best multiplayer franchises in existence.

the community left it, the game dropped fast in popularity near the end.

I think, BFV has the best graphical fidelity among any multiplayer fps till date.

@@kx7500 Activision doesn’t fixed their lighting effects still. Their skybox has that greyish colour.
MW2019 had great animation quality, but in graphics it doesn’t come up to frostbite engine level. BFV is the first ray tracing game. It had that light reflection quality. Whereas, MW2019 ray tracing is for its smoother shadow edges of assets, which is not good.

When I first laid my hands on Battlefield 5 I thought to myself " this is Battlefield" I've been a longstanding player and franchise owner and when dropping into Conquest with one of my Battlefield 3 Buddies it literally felt like I was in a Battlefield, I had no idea what was going on or where I should go. It was such an overwhelming experience that I fell in love with the genre even more, but quickly ended with 2042..

Just had some of the most amazing matches in the last couple of days. I'm amazed again and again about just how cool the movement and interactibility with the enviroment is in this game. And there are so many teethgrindingly close battles I've fought, with the most intense fights going on until the literally last ticket leading to insane outcomes like a 1-0 ticket ratio again and again. It's just great. Fuck BF2042, but I'll love Battlefield forever.

The feeling of being a simple soldier among a battlefield is perfectly made.
Battlefield = realism simulation
Call of Duty = anime simulation

it's crazy to look back on bfv as the good old days, because a lot of it was very good. Had 2042 not been a train wreck bfv wouldn't hold that fondness, rather IT would have been the low point. Weird that.

this is honestly why the battlefield franchise is (in my opinion) the best fps franchise. fun campaign, fun multiplayer, the opportunity to be a badass around every corner; it's just perfect.

One of the best moments ever from a Battlefield game was BF5 panzerstorm we lost all objectives except for A on the American side so the entire team pushed for I think B (the church) so all of us running down the hill with artillery, planes and machine gun fire and we just charged in. We lost and it was bad but God damnit was that epic.

Getting a rez on top of Iwo Jima was the best BF movie moment for me and my friend. Bullets everywhere explosions and planes passing, just in time for a win. Top notch man!

It truly breaks my heart seeing no servers on bf1, that one to me felt like real war not to mention the amount of explosion,gunfire and screaming would make my audio glitch up a bit but thats when i knew its gonna be a good game

My one wish is that they make a WW2 game that feels and looks like battlefield V but a bit slower and people ACTUALLY stayed with their squad and be strategic, I know we have Hell let loose and that’s amazing but sometimes everyone’s just running all over the place and it’s abit slow, but I have had some really cool experiences in Hell let loose… definitely need more pacific war gameplay

Almost everything that happens during a match in BFV is cinematic, playing with real 5.1 audio is another experience.
BFV had a rough start like most games but in the end it became a Gem lioe bf1. I advise anyone who want to play BFV is to get it for pc cause we have mods now that can make this game more amazing. Also there are groups who host servers using mods.

The game could have had content until today. Eastern Front, Ardennes, Africa, etc. I don't understand how EA could give up so much potential for 2042. Even Firestorm could have been saved with a “for free” and some updates.

this game is amazing and had the potential be be even better with historically accurate wars and adding the russians. shame is was abandoned and will probably never see a major update again
