My GOSH that snow looks incredible!! How come I can never find untracked spots like THAT!!!😩😩😩😩😩 I wouldn’t have believed it had you not got it on video!!😱 Ps- where are all the homies? Nursing ramen hangovers? 😂 Ohh there they are... Diggin those 80’s style sounds👌 Ps- how’s the leg after the run in with the tree??
The homies were all in the same vicinity, I'm always the one that breaks loose and goes off on my own- but they were just over the next ridge. My leg was surprisingly fine after hitting that tree- I snowboarded the next day. Rubbed some Voltarin on it.
Megaman intro! thats my ringtone haha. I have a board question for Andreas the Expert. I'm curious about which board would suit my size and style the best, and i really like Jones Snowboards. I'm a competent rider, comfortable all over the resort and have a little back country experience. My preferred place to ride is in deep snow and trees, but I'm mostly riding resorts so I'm at the mercy of their conditions and I need something that can perform all over and keep me smiling as I rip groomers with speed. I used to ride a 156 but wanted something that would keep me afloat a bit better so I sized up for a 162, which in retrospect I think was a mistake. At the time i thought bigger board meant bigger float, and now I have something that is not matched to my size so it feels a lot stiffer than it likely should be. So I'm not sure if I want something more flexible and playful like the Frontier, or if a correctly sized flagship or Stratos would work better? I'm even wondering about the Mind Expander or Hovercraft, so I'm pretty lost in the options. I think I'm just concerned about stiffness because my current board is too big? I don't spend any time in the park, but I enjoy taking advantage of any natural jumps and drops I see along my way, and playing around with the mountain. I'm 5'10, 140lbs before gear, and my current board is a Capita Black Death Speed Tribe 162 that is likely more than 10yrs old. There have been a lot of innovations since then and I'm definitely overdue for an upgrade, and if I'm going to ride this for another possible 10yrs I want to make a better decision than last time. I do still enjoy the Capita, but I think I can do better with a Jones this time?
After running both the Dart and the Super Fish Cloud Liner, which would you now say is the ideal Japow board? Also, what's your height/weight? Thanks, fam!
It felt like a rocket. I was riding it in the 156 size, and my Mind Expander is a 162, so it had way less surface area for float than my normal driver. Due to this I had to ride it faster so that it would plane out of the snow better and I had to be slightly more rear footed. But it was way more maneuverable which helps over all style. I think if I were going to buy one I would get the 160 size.
@@AndreasSchubertSnow ya I think the 60 would be the size. I have that one and I'm about 200lbs. No issues with float so far. Also could be that the board just wants to be on edge and rip all the time. I feel like it doesn't like going slow.
Looking to buy a korua shape next season, would you recommend the dart? Did you size up for more float or should i go smaller for nimbleness through the tree?
Hi... constructive criticism: you need to normalize the volume between the music and spoken parts. I keep having to turn the volume up for the talks and then the music comes on super loud.
Hey man big fan of you please help me with my build. I just bought gnu riders choice but I need some advice to buy the right bindings and the boots. so for the gnu riders choice which bindings and boots should I buy?
Whatever fits your feet for boots and bindings that fit your boots. I got an all mountain setup instead of something too soft for park or too stiff for powder/backcountry. I actually have the GNU rider's choice too (154.5)! With Union Strata (M) and Thirty Two TM-2 (sz 9). Think about what conditions you ride, and try a bunch of stuff on at the store if you can. Hope this helps.
I like Now Bindings. Can't beat the Skate Tech technology. I would get a Now Pilot for that board. Its a really good all rounder. If I were going to give you a second brand option- you can't go wrong with Burton Cartels. Boots all comes down to what fits! You gotta go try some on.
Nice powder. Glad your not seriously hurt after that crash.

Live to ride another day! Thanks man, I'm also glad I'm not hurt!

Thanks man! This day was awesome! It was nice how the snow consolidated, but still had blower qualities.

Hi Andreas the Dart sounds like a great board but how do you think it would do on groomers?? 🇬🇧🤘🤘
Hey man love your videos I’m looking at getting a dart and I weigh 140 would you recommend the 152 or 156?
The lonely rider!🏂
Snowboarding to the music of megaman 2!!! 😀
hahaha! you got it! I use two 8 bit songs in this vlog. One is Doctor Willy's theme from Mega Man 2, and the other is from the opening of Mega Man 3!
Been riding the Dart most of the season at Whistler. Fun board, but missed the snow like you just got on it. How'd the turns in the deeper stuff feel?

Would you recommend the dart in a 160 or the mind expander in 162 as a pure POW board? 200 lbs rider with 11 shoesize
love your take on what you think on all boards. What size were u rocking for this?

I feel like the 156 is the safe all around size to get the best of both.

They were in the vicinity, just the next ridge over. I'm notorious for getting impatient and going off on my own. I can't help it!
