    Have now used this to clean house siding and it performed well th-cam.com/users/postUgkx43QMbQqu67IZadu9ou8Sg1BdrunMRNqX I also bought some wand extensions which enabled higher washing without needing a ladder. I recommend both. This unit arrived quickly, was easy to assemble (only had to attach the handle), and arrived in perfect condition. The only very slight downgrade from a perfect score is the design has a low handle and requires pulling from the side. My old washer was an upright model, while this one is more horizontal. Other than that, it's perfect for my needs. It has a great deal of pressure and more easily cleaned the house siding, porch rails and concrete than did my older model. The engine is a bit louder, as well, but the total time to clean was reduced by the more powerful spray. Did I mention it starts on the first or second pull every time?!! I am definitely happy with this model.

    Bought this pressure washer yesterday at Lowes (military discount} after viewing about 6 of your reviews, also got most of your recommendations on accessories, amazon basics foam cannon, stubby gun, 1.1 orifice, quick connect kit, and 35' Black Max hose. Thank you so much for all your expertise, your videos are great. Ron

    I returned my Sun Joe because it was giving me issues and bought this one tonight! Your reviews are A+++ man! Thank you for taking the time to make them. Before I let you go though, I do have 1 question.....Does the style of hose matter coming from the spigot?? I have one of those Flexihose's that roll up super easy and save space. Are hoses like that okay or do you recommend using a more durable thicker garden hose type?

    just picked up this unit over the ryobis to get that extra bit of performance. will be used around the house and some car. thanks for the reviews and for providing actual numbers. as someone whose day-job revolves around measurable and metrics, your reviews stood out. I found them far more helpful than just "it performs well", "it feels really strong", "seems sturdy", etc. hoping I don't have issues like a commenter below who also bought from Lowes, but I don't have a gauge so maybe ignorance will lead to bliss. 🤞😂

    I purchased from your links uber hose, MjjC foam cannon, short pressure washer wand, swivel. I also purchase your recommendation on the Ryobi 15deg nozzle and the bag off 3.0 nozzles. Question can you give me a run down on washing my truck using the nozzles. I think I got from your videos spray it down with the 15 deg (What office size is this) and than put on the 3.0-40 deg nozzle to rinse, is this correct? what do I use the other 3.0 nozzles for that came in the bag? Not sure how to deal with bird droppings and bugs. I tried using the 15 deg to get them off and it worked somewhat than after letting the foam sit on the truck for a couple of minutes I used the 40 deg and the bug and bird crap were still there. What steps and nozzles as well as other chemicals to deal with bugs and bird crap. Love the short hand sprayer you recommended, cant wait for the uber-flex as the stock hose is bloody nightmare as my uber-flex won't be here until next Wednesday.

    Josh, I picked up this machine and used it today but it did not reach the second floor so I was using a ladder and it was a lot of struggle and hard work. I'm not sure if you know any easy solution to clean the higher story. I hate to return it. It seems to work well on the lower level. I'm not even sure if 2400 psi will do the job on higher level.

Every other unit that pushes into higher pressure territory has some kind of downside or flaw, such as a long delay (Greenworks 2300), low GPM (multiple), or no auto off (Greenworks and Ryobi 2700). My pressure gauge is either no good, or? I am on my 2nd 2100PSI unit and they max out at around 1500PSI with the standard 15 degree nozzle, and both barely over 1000PSI with 2.5mm nozzles. I did not notice this on the first unit, but this second unit is really harsh when shutting off. The pressure spikes up to over 3500PSI. Another thing, each one of these units look to be refurbished, or? Purchased at Lowes and both had double clear tape over the top. Both have signs of use internally. Scratches here and there, dirt and scuffs on the power cord, marks on the power cord where it appears the cord was previously tied up. Not sure if this is due to craftsman repackaging them, or? At any rate, this current unit seems defective due the way it shuts off.
    Have not tested the GPM yet.

    • @imjoshv
      @imjoshv  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh man thats a bummer. Mine had no signs of wear out of the box... Sounds like they were returned units. Im using the MTM pressure gauge in my tests and that gauge is pretty accurate!

    • @alsmith7316
      @alsmith7316 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@imjoshv Yeah, I think my pressure gauge has started to read a few hundred PSI low. However, the high PSI when the machine stops is not a function of the gauge misreading. The machine literally jumps when it shuts off. Have you ever seen a machine run such high pressures like that?

    • @alsmith7316
      @alsmith7316 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@imjoshv So, I tried again. I think I am done with Craftsman power tools. I purchased a 3rd Craftsman 2100PSI pressure washer. I also purchased another new pressure gauge. All of these 2100PSI units show 1550-1600PSI on both of my gauges. Josh, I am just curious, did you buy these from Lowes, or did Craftsman send them to you? You usually mention this in your vids, but I do not recall hearing either way on these.
      Anyway, since my 3rd unit was showing a low PSI just like the others, I did the GPM check to see if my GPM aligned with yours. Sure enough, my numbers do not match yours.
      Standard 15 degree nozzle = 1600PSI, 4.25qts & 1.125GPM
      2.5mm nozzle = 1100PSI, 5.25qts & 1.315GPM
      3.0mm nozzle = 900PSI, 5.5qts & 1.375GPM
      All of these look used, or refurbished. All were purchased as new at Lowes. All of them have two layers of tape on the top of the box, they look like they are reboxed. All have had power cords that look like they have been used. They have some shiny spots, and some dull spots that show that the cord has been drug on the ground. They also all show marks on the cable where the cable was tied up previously. These marks do not line up now. Just looking at these boxes at Lowes they look like they were repackaged. Then upon opening these units you get the sense that they were not only opened up, but used.
      Here are some of the problems I have seen with these units on top of the open box, dirty power cable and scratches and dings in the plastic.
      1st unit also had rust on the grey tubing that makes up the cradle and the handle. Also had material stuck to the inlet screen. It did not perform as expected, so I returned it.
      2nd unit had dirt/grease on the threads on on the inlet and outlet side fittings. There was also dirt in the crevices on the 15 degree spray nozzle. The auto stop on this unit did not work well. When shutting off the motor continues to run for 2-3 seconds, the pressure gets up to almost 4000PSI then the valve shuts. The entire unit jumps when this happens. This thing will not last running like this.
      3rd unit just had scratches and dings for the most part. The pressure of this unit ramps up to close to 3000PSI before shutting off. The motor runs for 1-2 seconds, not as long as the 2nd unit, but still runs on, pressure builds up and then stops (hard feeling stop). I do not recall anything like this on the 1st unit that I tested, or any other machine I have tested.
      Again, all 3 were in re-taped boxes and just had the look like the box was opened up. One of my local Lowes had 9 of these in stock and they all looked like this. All of the Craftsman pressure washers I saw had resealed boxes. This is very strange. Another thing, the foam protection was installed differently in each box. I can live with these issues if these things performed like promised or even close. They do not.
      I had the 1700PSI version and I was getting 1500PSI compared to your 1600PSI while you tested this model. figured that was just a difference in the pressure gauge as I had previously tested an Active unit and my PSI was a little low compared to yours, but my GPM matched yours. Problem with this machine, was the 1st time I went to actually use it to wash our cars, it was showing that I lost 300-400 PSI. I then did the GPM tests and this confirmed that the this unit was not longer running as well as it did the day before, so returned it. Anyway, back to these Craftsman units. This 1700 unit also was in a resealed box and had signs of being used. It performed well though both in the PSI and the GPM tests when comparing to your numbers. When I saw your testing of this 2100PSI unit I returned the 1700 and started my journey of frustration with these 2100 PSI units.
      When I purchased the 3rd 2100PSI unit I also purchased another 1700PSI unit. The sale on these ends tomorrow, and I wanted to make sure I was covered in the event this 3rd 2100 unit did not work well and I wanted to go back to the 1700 as they function about the same. Well, this 2nd 1700 unit is just like the 1st. Runs at 1500PSI, just 100 PSI lower than the 3 2100PSI units that I tested. This unit was also in a re-taped previously opened box. This unit was for sure used. There are some marks on the gun etc. dirty power cable. Things that make the item look like it was used before. On this unit, the inlet tube going into the machines was tightened up by someone with a pair of channel lock pliers, or something similar. It is all scratched up from someone clamping down on it with pliers. I am sure craftsman did not do this, as all you need to do is pull off the screen to access an allen head that will tighten this fitting up, should it come loose. This unit for sure was used, no question about it. I think all of the others were as well.
      In my mind all of these units are previously used and refurbished by Craftsman and are being sent to Lowes as new. I am done with Craftsman. These will all be returned to Lowes and I will pick up the Ryobi 1600. Bummer for me, the Ryobi was on sale last week, but I went with the Craftsman instead. Oh well.

      @@alsmith7316 I'm getting the same numbers as you with an M.Mingle gauge. I'm tempted to pick up an MTM gauge because I'm not sure how much I trust this one. my first from them leaked a ton and Im skeptical of their quality control.

    Would you recommend this over the 2300 psi ryobi. I would imagine Ryobi would be better but I don't like that it does not have the quiet system. What is the db when Ryobi is idle?

    • @imjoshv
      @imjoshv  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I havent checked the db levels on the ryobi but i was very impressed with the 2100!! Ive used the Ryobi 2300 more so i know its good quality and durable but the craftsman is cheaper and i really liked the perofmance. I would take the savings with the craftsman and use that to upgrade the hose!

    Does this one have 14mm M22 or 15mm connections? I am tempted to get an inline water pressure meter but wanna make sure I won’t have to get extra adapters. I noticed the one you linked has quick disconnect, but it would need both wand end and high pressure hose end to have QDs too.
    Update: Dang, seems like those inline meters only ever come with QDs so I’ll just wait and get it together with the 50 foot hose then.

      Some of the no name brands from amazon send me them to test out. For the ones from Home Depot and Lowes, i buy them and then sell them when im done. I lose a little bit but its the cost of doing business!!
