This was as entertaining as anything else I've watched on this channel, and actually made me think about having another look at Minecraft. Has the meaning of 'scam' changed while I wasn't looking?
You gotta let it go man. We know it was an accident and there weren’t even that many casualties other than Cider. At least it wasn’t like that massacre in attempt 12… 😖😖
Dude, EVERYONE was putting 100% effort into their pranks and shitposts this year! We got a 44 minute supercut of the MSQ featuring Randy Marsh, Smiling Friends’ puppet episodes, Hololive put out a brainrot-inducing song parody of Advent’s theme, PEKORA’S MOM DEBUTED AS HER OWN LIVE2D VTUBER!!! And Minecraft’s April Fool’s patch was actual fire this year! Like I’m seriously wondering how next year can top it!
I'd unironically like to see you continue this I know it was an april fools joke, but seeing you go through all of this in your style would genuinely be engaging
People keep talking about "the bit," and I'm glad the bit is over. The FFXIV goof ends and Cider Spider returns to his classic Minecraft runs! Hoping we get a big special if we get to attempt 100!
"I've got more dirt on me than the average politician." -- That line was gold. I've never played Minecraft but I know my nieces have. I'm just here because I find your exploits so entertaining.
20:20 absolutely love how you said "we're gonna see if we can find a sheep" while looking directly at a sheep, and then proceeded to go get a different sheep.
Honestly at this point I'm sold on watching anything you decide to put your time into as I love your personality, so whichever game it'll be isn't why I watch. Good job!
unironically though, this is a great april 1st video, it'll actually be enjoyable in 6 months unlike a lot of these one off joke videos people churn out that'll land in my recommendations in a week and be really confusing. and further proof that this format, Cider's personality and presentation can carry all sorts of topics.
I'm glad to hear that you're recovered enough from the trauma of attempt 27 that you're able make jokes about it now! I remember the days when even MENTIONING the number 26 was dangerous because of how close it was to 27...
The fact that you made a good looking, well planned video, made watching the whole thing worth while. Most other TH-camrs would just pretend not to know how to play, then die 5 min into the video. This Scam was worth every second of content just to hear your awesome voice.
It's amazing to see how far Spider's come in all this. I managed to jump on the train pretty early and still remember the golden innocence of Run 5. RIP Dirt hole, you were the best of us
I'm watching a Minecraft video... What is this, 2012? In all seriousness, that takes me back. Even as "just" an April's Fools, that was very enjoyable and nostalgic!
Honestly, that was very entertaining to watch. As a one-off or not, I spent my time well watching it. I just want to see Mojang add a drill to the game now.
I dont care about minecraft, never played it, never watched any content related to it and still had a blast. Who needs to mine diamonds when Cider makes diamond content out blocks
the amount of time invested into this video is frankly outstanding though. if CS didn't build the base in creative, that build would propably be like 3 hours block placing alone, and the amount of time necessary to mine all the materials would be well beyond that. Lots of effort for an april fools, good job on that!
I know this is a scam ... but A+ for sticking to the bit! Legitimately, this wasn't just a half-assed attempt; it took some real effort. Very well done!
You had me worried for a while there. Between making an axe before a bucket AND forgetting about the phantoms, I was worried you learned nothing from the Undead Dating Sim Incident of Attempt 9. Glad you brought it back in the second half.
One tip I always used for placing underground torches is only to place them on the right hand side of a tunnel. That way to find your way back just make sure the torches are on your left.
Loved the video with all the usual inside jokes! And we all know what's coming next year: Lil' Small Mad wearing Steve (Alex?) cosplay in a cubicly decorated FC house, playing spleef with blue mage spells. Keep up the good work!
I used to build me bases as underground ringed tiers around a spiral staircase to bedrock. So I'd spend my dirt backfilling caves once I was done looting them. Lighting them up and sealing them up also works but you never know. In the future I might be expanding out a room and accidentally fall in a pit that wasn't quite as well lit as I'd thought it might be.
I like that the hole in the ground basically stayed a hole in the ground box for the whole video. Just a bit bigger every time. Never a roof though. Hoping you will continue this content on April 2nd...
it took me several minutes to connect that this was April fools cuz I was just like oh ciders new Monday videos are just for whatever his heart desires.
After how traumatic the J-walking incident was i really thought he wasn't going to do another one of these. I see now how committed he is to get those achievements!
You know, my fiancée actually got me into Minecraft a couple of years ago (She's a Z and I'm Y). I knew I was actually enjoying it when I'd started my own world instead of only playing co-op in hers. My world started me in the Badlands biome on a tall island with some trees ill from the dryness. I started next to a 2x2 of Iron that wound up being about 3 deep. I survived my first night by cobbling together dirt and wood into a 3x3 shack with a door. Fun fact about The Badlands. Animals don't spawn there, only monsters. Gold, Iron, and Coal are plentiful though. So I made a fishing rod and fished to survive. I built my base into the side of the island mountain, and built a tunnel up to the highest point of my island's immediate vicinity. I made my first bed by killing spiders until I had enough web to make wool from the web with that weird recipe. So I had a bed made from spider silk. I dug a few mines and got loaded out in iron armor within the first couple of hours, and got a diamond sword and pick fairly quickly. My island was also coated heavily in gravel, and I hate gravel, so I removed it all. This lead me to finding buried treasure complete with The Heart of The Sea, which I never put to use. Underwater base mechanics scare me. I sailed away from my island in a boat, and I ran into the Mushroom Cow Island by pure chance. I setup a beef farming base there, and then sailed on until I hit verdant land with dark oaks. There was a village near there and the biggest defunct Nethergate I've ever seen. I made a beach base there and surrounded it with sugarcane. I then sailed back to my island. I'd recently been unemployed, so I was just passing time a lot of the time, and I opted to add onto my base by building a tower. The goal for the tower was for it to reach the highest reaches of the sky, till it couldn't be built any higher. I wasn't playing hardcore, but I was playing survival, as that is what my fiancée plays, and I'm more of a fighter than a creator anyway. Anyway, I had a ton of deepslate and other various dirts and rocks and woods. I started to build the tower, and I don't quite remember its precise dimensions, but I wanna say it was something like 28x19. The first bit I built up about 30 high of cobbled deepslate, and then I decided I'd build every proceeding section from different material. I gave each section a complete floor and torches so that monsters wouldn't spawn inside. One section was diorite, another nether planks, another crimson nether wort, another polished granite, another polished deepslate, another nether brick, and so on and so forth until I reached the very top. I layered the top with dirt, in hopes of planting a garden up there, but I never got around to it. From its four top corners I dumped water, giving 4 waterfalls from the 316~320 range all the way down to sea level 63. You could actually swim to the top of my tower. My next move was to invite my fiancee into my world, and we were to use my nether gates to get the ingredients necessary to find The End, but she's rather afraid of going there and doesn't think she can beat The Ender Dragon and hates fighting Ender Men, so we got some blaze rods and moved onto playing other games and never really got back to it all. This April Fool's joke reminded me of that, so thanks for jogging my memory, Idiot.
get scammed, idiots. 1 like = 1 scam
K bye
This was as entertaining as anything else I've watched on this channel, and actually made me think about having another look at Minecraft.
Has the meaning of 'scam' changed while I wasn't looking?
@@RabidJohn entertaining? Want to play minecraft? Are you 12?
Or is it a serious that will only get updated once a year
You caught me bored.
Don't care if it's a scam, I'm still watching the whole thing. I'd listen to Cider read the ingredients on a shampoo bottle at this point.
Hopefully we get a shampoo bottle reading at a million subs
Next years april fool vid....just saying.
@@shinagami7 LOL, im here for that! lets go 2025 shampoo bottle!
Lol, wholeheartedly agree!
Same
Yet again omitting the tragedy of attempt 37. You can't keep running from your past Cider it will catch up to you.
You gotta let it go man. We know it was an accident and there weren’t even that many casualties other than Cider. At least it wasn’t like that massacre in attempt 12… 😖😖
@BatttleBun we all knew the outcome of 37 was cursed AF, but nobody speaks of 12 and you should know why
The fact that he included all his usual sound effects and didn’t just make a 1 minute joke video is extremely on brand. Great stuff.

@@jemm113
Oh yeah the Randy video! Dude that one has so much effort put into it like, the shitposters are getting better!
Love it. Answers the question of "would non XIV games be interesting to watch?" with a resounding "hell yes".
i feel like Ciderspider in hardcore terraria would be hilarious
Everyone else: lol April Fools!
CiderSpider: Makes a castle for a one off joke, that's commitment to the bit
I actually would watch an entire series of this :(
Samesies
Saaaame!
I'd unironically like to see you continue this
I know it was an april fools joke, but seeing you go through all of this in your style would genuinely be engaging
So, not another episode of Mad Because Square?
It would be amazing for this to become a yearly occurence.
Glad to see the setbacks of run 39 haven't dampened your spirits. A truly cursed worldgen.
True OGs remember the first hardcore run
All this scam has taught me is that I'd watch Cider Spider play anything, the man is just entertaining.
the TREMBULL when he throws the egg and it becomes a baby chicken 😭😭😭
Is it a scam when you actually enjoy it to the point you want a series? XD
P.S. Should build an army of dainslief's with the dirt
People keep talking about "the bit," and I'm glad the bit is over. The FFXIV goof ends and Cider Spider returns to his classic Minecraft runs! Hoping we get a big special if we get to attempt 100!
"Very simple foundation" looks better than anything i ever build in over 10 years!
When he started talking about shelter for the 4th time and deforesting the hill, I was ready for 32 minutes of just chopping trees
I legit want this to be its own short side-series
I love this way more than I should. It reminded me of the good old days of early 2010's Minecraft let's plays. Thank you, Mr. Spider.
Zaltan looks like he's too much of a scared baby to play Hardcore Minecraft
Zlatan looks like he makes all his houses of of nothing but dirt.
The poggy woggy spider climbed up the birchwood tree
Down came cider's pickaxe as he yelled IDIOT
The end.
Square. Square, square, square, square, square. Angry!
VERY. VERY. ANGRY.
angry because small
Honestly at this point I'm sold on watching anything you decide to put your time into as I love your personality, so whichever game it'll be isn't why I watch. Good job!
Sigh. Another Endwalker so bad I went back to Minecraft video.
Not gonna lie, expected it to end with him dying and going "You know what, I think I'm just gonna go back to PVP in FFXIV"
unironically though, this is a great april 1st video, it'll actually be enjoyable in 6 months unlike a lot of these one off joke videos people churn out that'll land in my recommendations in a week and be really confusing. and further proof that this format, Cider's personality and presentation can carry all sorts of topics.
Good to see you making progress on the island, sanctuary achievements
I still remember your attempts of raiding the deepest room in the Ocean Monument from attempt 38. Looking forward to it again!
I'm glad to hear that you're recovered enough from the trauma of attempt 27 that you're able make jokes about it now! I remember the days when even MENTIONING the number 26 was dangerous because of how close it was to 27...
This reminded me so much of the old MC vids I used to watch back in 2010 and such. Loved it.
The fact that you made a good looking, well planned video, made watching the whole thing worth while. Most other TH-camrs would just pretend not to know how to play, then die 5 min into the video. This Scam was worth every second of content just to hear your awesome voice.
The mad babies yearn for the mines.
I like the gag where he references non-existent runs we’ve all seen
Gag? I'm confused. Didn't you see the other runs? 🤨
I would watch a whole series of this. And id love every second of it
“Husbandry? I’m not married!”😂😂😂😂😂😂
Would be the funniest bit in the world if you continued updating this series annually every April fools
I just picked up an alpha code myself just now, thanks for covering this indie game Cider.
Can't wait to jump in and try it.
I will still cling to the fact of you doing this series at a monthly bases, it would be a nice side series even if it wasn't hardcore imo.
honestly, would watch this as a series. I like your citadel.
BRUH, I WANT A CIDER SPIDER MINECRAFT SERIES NOW! i'd totally watch the misadventures of TREMBLEEEEE!!! in minecraft.
the amount of time invested into this video is frankly outstanding though.
if CS didn't build the base in creative, that build would propably be like 3 hours block placing alone, and the amount of time necessary to mine all the materials would be well beyond that.
Lots of effort for an april fools, good job on that!
Honestly, this would be a fun series to see you complete in between losing your mind over levee quests
I would not object to a minecraft series legitimately, I was so intrigued by this the whole time! Well played
I know this is a scam ... but A+ for sticking to the bit! Legitimately, this wasn't just a half-assed attempt; it took some real effort. Very well done!
This was adorable. I know it was just an April fools joke but I’d totally watch more.
I would actually like to see something like this continued. it was great to watch!
I would legitimately and gladly watch you make an entire series of this, it's very nostalgic, very 2015 minecraft youtuber
You had me worried for a while there. Between making an axe before a bucket AND forgetting about the phantoms, I was worried you learned nothing from the Undead Dating Sim Incident of Attempt 9. Glad you brought it back in the second half.
Such is poor shelter for when the spiders call
One tip I always used for placing underground torches is only to place them on the right hand side of a tunnel. That way to find your way back just make sure the torches are on your left.
I am impressed. I was expecting the joke being you dying right when you got things started. I like the relatively normal feeling ending by comparison
Cider wins April Fools day for sure with this one. I don't know a damn thing about Minecraft but I watched to whole thing and was entertained lol
Well, now I'm in the mood for Minecraft again.
Okay but I would 100% watch this as a series. Also, that fort build is slick af
The commitment to the bit-down to the TREMBLE placement-is outstanding 😂

I have never laughed so hard at an April fools video before, Cider you're on a roll lately man
"No spiders get in, no spiders get out"
Too much square, not enough enix
Congratulations. You’ve succeeded in making Minecraft fun to watch. Best scam ever!
I love the little timecard animated ciderspider
Im actually in love with this idea.
Manz about to trigger my annual 3 week minecraft play through early
thank god this isnt a scam and can expect more episodes on the great cider-craft adventures.
youve grown so much since i started watching since attempt 12, and the cursed founding of attempt 23, keep going i believe in you!
a literal 30min long "trolling"?
yes, it will play during dinner and be watched
I used to build me bases as underground ringed tiers around a spiral staircase to bedrock. So I'd spend my dirt backfilling caves once I was done looting them. Happy to see so much success this time! This could be the run!!
The real diamond was the video itself! Thank you for a fantastic time!
I definitely would like to see this series continue!
Absolutely love the animation at 14:23
Such a great and completely normal video for this channel.
Make a politician statue with all the dirt you got.
jokes on you, now i want you getting "how did we get here" in hardcore
I like that the hole in the ground basically stayed a hole in the ground box for the whole video. Just a bit bigger every time. Never a roof though.
Hoping you will continue this content on April 2nd...
One of those silly jokes on silly day.
What a silly man.
This only proves i could watch Cider play anything
This was not what I was expecting at all, this is beautiful
and yes, I do remember attempt 27, it was a rough one 😂
it took me several minutes to connect that this was April fools cuz I was just like oh ciders new Monday videos are just for whatever his heart desires.
So my 7 year old who loves the bits of mad because small I let him watch, has fallen in love with this scam. Thanks for this whole thing cider.
I wouldn't mind watching a legit version of this
We got Scammed idiots, Let's fucking Go!!! Great video Cider and happy April Fools Day.
As someone who knows literally nothing about Minecraft…. This was actually really captivating
most elaborate scam and i'm here for it TREMBLEEEE
I genuinely and unironically enjoy this content! If there were more I would continue to enjoy it!
I recommend sacrificing the dirt to the dirt gods for a chance to get some super dirt. One of the core parts of the giant bean stock quest.
wow pretty castle. also this was really funny, i would unironically watch a series of this
