Lucy Love im European, in Europe they taught the whole class about womens and mens anatomy, they showed us how periods work, how erections work, how condoms should be used, contraceptive pills, and so on. I dont know how you have it in america but here it was like that

In America, only 24 states mandate sex education, and 13 states require that sex education be medically accurate. That being said, sex education differs from school to school depending on the schools view and the districts view, however this trend goes to show that there isn’t too much importance stressed upon sex education and health in the public school setting as a whole . In my opinion, and of course not everyone will agree, it is important for people to know how the human body works for their own biological sex as well as understand those that have differing sexes because this teaches a young person how to respect their own bodies as well as their peers’. When I was young it was often embarrassed about my body and my period, and I feel that if more boys and girls alike understood how the menstrual process worked, it would help to eliminate the stigma of a period, and create an easier and more positive environment to the puberty and menstrual process.
My friend keeps tampons in his backpack because he’s amazing and honestly is more prepared than me and most other girls.

It's kind of painful to see how ignorant men are about periods, like I feel like females have a pretty good understanding about the male anatomy and it's functions? Don't get me wrong, I'm not (fully) blaming these dudes, but more blaming the society for being so darn scared of vaginas! Teach boys about periods! I mean... their lack of knowledge is just shameful. Educate yourself. Oh, how I wish they and men in general could experience the "joy" of menstruation for a year. A month is not enough to understand the process, the pain, the cycle and the fact that it just doesn't stop coming around.
LJP They do teach kids about both mens and womens anatomy, its just that boys focus more on mens anatomy (logically) and women focus more on womens anatomy (obviously). Plus why is it so important that every person on the plant know how all the details of how a period works, when half of the population will never experience it, step off your high horse, its not that deep

Not once have I claimed to know everything. Did you even read what I wrote? Yes, I learn about things that interest me. But you don't know me and what interests me is knowledge, so whenever I find myself in a situation where I have no knowledge about whatever the topic might be, it peaks my interest and I want to learn more about it. I believe the world would be a much better place if everyone were open to understand other peoples lives and situations, simple as that. I am now done discussing this with you because you clearly don't take in what I actually write and the second you called me "honey", to patronize me, I lost interest.

Being a trans guy, it's so weird for me when I hear different conversations about periods and how most cis guys are just so clueless about them. Like, we all sat in a class in fifth grade and got quizzed on the uterus and penis diagrams and were emotionally scarred from the videos they had us watch about everything having to do with male and female puberty. I understand not knowing the really complicated, in depth stuff, but it's pretty pathetic just how little most people know about their own genitals lol

I'm from Finland and in 7th grade biology when we had a unit on the human body, in the exams girls had to label the parts of the female reproductive system and explain what they do and how it works while boys did the same with the male reproductive system.
THEN, in 8th grade during a similar unit in biology, everyone had to label and explain both the female and male reproductive systems. I think this was fantastic. In my opinion it was good that we first had just the one that relates to us, so that we were sort of normalized to the idea of learning and talking about it but then a year later also had to learn the other because I think that girls should learn how the male body works and boys should learn how the female body works, it's basic biology.

Not every one has periods every month. Some people have them every other month and some multiply times a month.
