    Have you thought about playing Infinity? Or Stargrave?

      I have not. I know Infunity is very anime like, but never given either game a shot.

      @@CommanderCheapSkate Try it, please. If the anime thing bothers you, use proxies, but the rules for reaction are really great

      Infinity is a vastly more complex game. And more expensive to get in to. Stargrave I would say is in the same ballpark as SSZ, but from the base rules is adversarial. Solo and co-op rules can be found/bought of course. The buy-in for SSZ is really low, as is complexity. Play area is small too.
