I liked your hair long as it looked stylish but a little change brightens life ! Same with light and colourful knitting. Really liked the tessellated pullover and the beret, this one is stylish, really love it. Thank you for sharing your makes.
Ahna! All your beautiful projects are something to be so proud of! Your "pretzel button" comment on your Textured Vest made me laugh, I was just thinking how cool they were before you said that. The toggle button suits the vibes of the vest really well. But I totally get when you get a certain idea stuck in your head!
Thank you for showing all your gorgeous knit, very inspiring. The Smora beret and the Sotabosc by Elena Solier Jansà went straight into my queue. It's from the 52 weeks of scarves book that I just got. So thank you again
Tip for securely wearing a smaller sized shawl: throw it around you with the point on the FRONT of your body, facing down, then wrap the ends over each other at the back of your body, over your shoulders and secure the ends together, out of sight under the point of the shawl at the front of your body. Hope that makes sense! haha! Great selection of pieces, well done!
I found your channel recently. I'm not too far in IL. I couldn't agree more with your finding your own style and knitting what you want to wear. I'm trying to do the same. Beautiful pieces. I can't wait to be spinning like you. I'm intimidated by it, but can learn. I loved your shirt in this podcast. Where did you find that mock neck turtle nek? So many I find are really close to the neck. Thank you for the time again, Kimberly
Ohhh you should totally try spinning! I started with a drop spindle and I feel like that was a great place to start and a low commitment in terms of $$. The turtleneck is from old navy! I’ve had it for a few years now and it’s still holding up so well. I think they still have this one there. It has a little bit of a ribbed texture.
This was SO much fun to watch! All your handknits from 2023 are so lovely. I love all the spin-to-knit pieces as well! They are definitely goals for me! I need to definitely make the Florence tank. Love your version!!
Oh, I can't wait to watch this (at work now...). I'm finding myself really inspired by your style and pattern choices lately. Will be knitting Flower Power Pullover and Magnolia Bloom solely because of your podcasts :) Greetings from snowy Stockholm
Thank you!! I was watching how much my complexion brightened when I was trying on the lighter sweaters and I’m like yep, lighter colors this year for me! And are you referring to the Florence by Sari? Such a beautiful pattern!
Fab podcast as ever 💃💥🧶you made such cool and interesting pieces in 2023 and you just rock your new hair (+beret =super stylie!!) 🙏💥❣️wishing you a very Happy and Fruitful 2024 🌈
Love your content and appreciate your making it for us all to enjoy and learn from. Rather a sidebar but I am very curious what turtleneck you are wearing. I have had such a hard time sourcing one that doesn’t choke but drapes, as yours does. And that color is just what I need. I got my color analysis done this past year and am also a summer. I am trying to swap out the black that dominates in all my base layers. 😂
Thank you so much! And I am wearing a turtleneck from Old Navy which I’ve had for a few years and it still is in great shape! I think they still sell it too 😊
I really enjoyed your end of year review and look forward to seeing where you creative adventures take you in 2024. Your Safe at Home pillow is beautiful and I'm not surprised that you decided to keep it out. It's most definitely not just for Christmas. My hope for 2024 is to concentrate on knitting garments, with hats and mittens on the side. I've been sidetracked by socks the last few years and am sure that a few pairs will jump on my needles again but there are so many more things that I'd like to knit.
@@brookwillowI have promised my niece that I’ll knit her the Cocoon Sweater by Along Avec Anna. She chose the pattern and yarn herself when we were at Yarndale last September. She is gone for 3 earthy shades that I think will look great together in the pattern. Once I’ve finished that I have some Rowan felted tweed that was gifted to me and I would like to knit a Marie Wallin design. Not sure which one yet. She has so many to choose from. Decisions, decisions 🤔
I really liked seeing all you ve done. And WOW, that beret. you do rock it. I think you need a cream color outside sweater with a pair of light mittens to wear it into spring. Happy knitting.
Your 2024 haircut looks lovely. As a fellow bob-haver, I also struggle a little bit with styling hats sometimes, but I want to say that I think your hats are super cute and you really don't need to worry too much about the haircut :) Your Texture Vest turned out so well (pretzel buttons or nah, lol), and I'm glad you're getting lots of use from it. And that periwinkle color of the June Top is perfect. Your Tessellated Pullover turned our really well, too; it's too bad the fit isn't quite like you'd prefer, but the finished piece looks very nice in any case. The colorwork on the Snora Beret is great - and yes, perfect with the new haircut, too :)
This was really well done! I love your selection of items to knit…some unique pieces that I have not seen before. And I love how you tried everything on so we could get a better idea of how the item fits and wears. All the best for 2024!
That first shawl gives me “Little Woman” vibes. I’m so jealous! ❤ The second shawl you could also add a large cool button and a loop and have it sit in your shoulders that way. Just a suggestion. Then you don’t have to look for a shawl pin.
Definitely a cute gnome :) I’m a very beginner spinner and feel like I have to be intermediate or something before I use the pretty braids I have, but you inspire me to just do it. I’m going to try spinning for Andrea’s Traveler Shawl, I think.
Haha thank you ☺️ and yes I say use the pretty braids!! Even if the spinning doesn’t turn out quite how you want it, knitting is very forgiving and makes any spinning look great!
And now that I’ve watched the full video, such a great episode! I feel your pain on breaking the habit of the French tuck! I think we have very similar body shapes, so it’s really helpful seeing what you make and how you style it. I have a strong preference for very boxy, oversized clothing but I’m trying to incorporate some more fitted/cropped pieces into my makes as well. Thanks for sharing your makes with us!
Your hair is soooo great!!!! Love it! I think it looks crazy good with the beret too. The lavender tank was such a refreshing piece added to your collection this year. It looks lovely on you. I enjoyed your brief talk at the end on your take on your personal style. I am trying to embrace that myself..... as in, my own style and not what other people are doing only. I have noticed that when you first started your videos that your style was much more colorful, sporty, girly, cabin core almost, but this years round up is very gramma core. (With the exception of the incredible Degen flower sweater! ) I just curious if you think that transition is because you have moved into more wooly clothing and natural colorways that have been influenced by you spinning and knitting? I guess I would just love to hear how and why youve made such a style change and where you think your headed next with your style and wool/knitting fiber arts expression! You are so inspirational and I look forward to everysingle one of your videos 💕
You have asked some awesome questions that really have me thinking about it! I’m almost thinking of doing a little knit and chat talking about this topic. So thank you for the idea and hopefully I will be able to answer it in that video 😃
All so pretty and beautifully knit (and spun!!). Great variety. The Isager vest is adorable! (PS I think the G in Isager is pronounced like a Y.). Also thanks for leaving the pattern name/designer on the screen while you were showing each one-I could snap a pic to remind me of what I want to make soon! ❤. (PPS no gnome going on! lol)
My nightshift shawl is too small too. I bring the point to the front kind of off center and then tie the ends underneath the point. 🤷🏼♀️ it works, but I wish it was longer so I gravitated to it more 😢 Hi from Illinois!
Just a quick tip! If you're a bit annoyed by the camera losing focus randomly. I'd suggest leaving it in manual mode and adjusting the focus distance if it's a proper video camera. If it's being recorded on a phone, you should be able to lock your focus distance in the camera app
For the hair, I went to a bob in college and it actually dramatically changed my fashion as well! I was like whoa I am way more exposed!!! Lol enjoy the change : )
Did you size up significantly with your flower power sweater? For me personally, l prefer the way yours looks compared to others I've seen with a neckline that looks much higher and tighter.
knit math: yarn is too expensive so let's buy a spinning wheel instead 😂 love how your nightshift came out; totally worth it!
Hahaha 😅 and thank you!!
I am very impressed by the quality of your knits. Very advanced
Thank you so much! 😃
Love your plan to add some color to the world! All the knitted neutrals are beautiful, but it's all the same.
I’m looking forward to it! 😃
I love the toggle buttons❤ They look great.
The pretzel toggles? 🥲
Your beret is EVERYTHING
Thank yooooou ☺️
Thank you. The Hair looks good. Sorry for my English , I am from Germany
Thank you so much!

Thank you!! And I just ordered new buttons to replace the pretzels 🥲
Loved seeing everything you’ve knit last year and the new hair cut, suits you so well ✨🧡
Thank you Marlene 🥰
WOW what a great collection on knitting. Congratulations on job well done.
Thank you so much! 😃
Love the color of your June Top and Manhattan Hat Bulky. And your Safe at Home pillow is stunning! Your Snora Beret looks great with your short hair.
Thank you so much!
Thank you for showing all your gorgeous knit, very inspiring. The Smora beret and the Sotabosc by Elena Solier Jansà went straight into my queue. It's from the 52 weeks of scarves book that I just got. So thank you again
Thank you so much!! Both patterns are so fun to knit 😃
I'm only halfway through the video, but the shawl is FANTASTIC. It goes great with your classic beauty! Great job, congratulations.
You are so kind! Thank you ❤️

This is great advice! I’m going to try it 😊 thank you!
Loved this! I just found your podcast and will definitely be a subscriber from now on. Can’t wait to see what you make in 2024! 🌸
Wow! I just loved seeing everything you knit. The beret at the end looks so cute on you with your hair. ;0)
Thank you so much 🥰
(As always) I love everything you make ❤❤❤❤❤ AND I love your hair you style icon you

Awww thank you Megha! The Florence tank was SO fun to knit! I recommend it 😊
Love everything!
Thank you!! ❤️
Wow you have been productive!
Haha I sure have been busy 😅
Enjoyed your year-end review, and you got me interested in a few new-to-me pieces; e.g., manhattan bulky hat and the bearpaw socks.
Aww yeah I love hearing that! Thank you 🥰
A great year of knitting and learning! The way you work your handspun into wearable garments and accessories is very inspiring!
Thank you so much! 😊

You are so kind! The flower power and magnolia were both such fun patterns to knit 😃
The pale/bright colors look so good on you! I'm gonna have to check out that lace vest pattern...I'm in that vest experimentation phase of life, haha
Thank you!! I was watching how much my complexion brightened when I was trying on the lighter sweaters and I’m like yep, lighter colors this year for me! And are you referring to the Florence by Sari? Such a beautiful pattern!
@@brookwillow yes, the Florence tank! Sari Nordlund has so many nice designs!

Thank you for all your kind words! 😃 I’m definitely adapting to the hair a bit more. It’s been so nice not dealing with long hair!
Thank you for the lovely video❤ You have knitted a bunch of beautiful knitwear❤
You are so kind! Thank you!
I adore your hair 😊 and thanks for the PSA on the zip I’ve wanted to make myself a pulllover like your yellow one but have been put off by the zip 😅
Thank you so much! 😃 I was in the same boat as you with the zipper and then once I did it I was like “oh that’s all I had to do?” So I say go for it!

Do you ever put elastic in the top of socks? I've started to do that. Interested to see if it makes a difference long term.

I think I went up one size higher from what my measurements are! I tend to like more positive ease so I generally do this 😊
I wear my night shift with a shawl pin
Where did you get yours from? I’ll definitely be on the lookout for one 😃
