Good video. I wanted to hop on here and give you a little feedback and ask some questions.
First, you may want to correct your spelling of garlic. Second, I had a hard time, when the music was louder than your voice, understanding what you were saying. So it's much better when the volume is down or off!
I just started documenting my journey with videos for myself, but I haven't had any music to any of mine, primarily because I haven't learned how.
So I didn't hear what fertilizer you were putting down, besides what you soaked them in. I'm in Ohio and I don't fertilize mine at all but I have built my soil up for several years now and I've rotated things in my garden so that I don't deplete nutrients too quickly.
I make my own compost and I also just got chickens recently and I have a free-roaning litterbox trained indoor pet bunny and I save her poo.
Since it's cold and ready to use, I'm spreading it literally everywhere and starting to make compost tea with it.
Since I keep replanting half of my own garlic I have so much to plant this year that I will be spreading mine out throughout the garden as well and using some containers like you, so I'm so excited about that!
Where are you located? I'm near Cincinnati zone 6B and since it's been a little warmer I'm a little later with putting them in.
Your garlic looks like it's shaped longer so they almost look like shallots. What varieties are you using? I'm using hard-neck because I love the scapes! I don't even know what variety mine are because I got them at a local farmers market when I first started. I also bought elephant garlic online a while back and I have just been replanting those. But they're both so huge and strong.
I have a freeze dryer so I went from simply dehydrating them in the past to freeze drying them and I make a really strong garlic powder out of most of my garlic, with My Little smoothie cup blender.
As soon as I harvest my garlic, I put half of them in brown paper bags and put them in the garage. What do you do with your garlic when you harvest?
So I guess I just wanted you to expand on your video so I know a little more about you and your garden😊

Hello Shandysgarden Thanks for your feedback im in zone9b California this your I decided to purchase garlic from the grocery store to see would happen. See garlic is best. I core my garlic in a shaded area of my home. I soak my garlic in a cup of water 1 tbsp of baking soda and 1 tbsppon of seaweed extract Also please note my mic was not on during this video.
