I have really been enjoying watching these old games especially considering the current state of the Browns. I don't even want to watch them anymore.

My birthday game. Browns had to win these games down the stretch to stay in contention for Central Division lead. 3 weeks later, the dream became a reality!

Man that field was a mess, I remember going down to Municipal stadium. That place was a dump.

How is Clay Matthews not in the Hall of Fame? How many other OLBs played that long, that well?

Not only did the Browns have Gregg and Mike but Ron Pruitt played for the Indians in 1980

Not exactly the same pants... and not every game like from 1975-1983.

I'm a Jets fan, but I think these were the best Browns uniforms.

great game, the browns always seem to be in some dog fights each sunday through out that 80 season with Sipe the paramedic of the cardiac kids always bringing them back. the NFL MVP quaterback would lose a heartbreaker to Oakland on the fame "red right 88" . think about this, from Sipe to Kosar the browns had two qb's who could win it all. they some of the most classic and infamous playoff losses, "red right 88, the drive, the fumble." also a classic win " the matathon by the lake" those 80's Browns were so close to a super bowl just didn't work out. Great post, i miss those Browns.

Sipe was way better than Kosar.

haha... no he didn't. He played 16. Maybe you added his son's years. He was also named Clay.

The problem with the Kardiac Kids was that after 1980 they only made the Playoffs one more time in 1982, and lost to the LA Raiders. They had talent, but weren't consistent. The Bengals won the division in 1981 and 82, then the Steelers won the division in 1983 and 84. Then Marty was hired, and the Browns went to a more run oriented team.

The Browns always played in the mud.

Two underrated QBs. They were both fun to watch.

Then the Raiders take Pruitt and Alzado and get them rings
