Thanks for watching! I have had Imelda filmed when she was Imelda Clabby, single, and just arrived in London. I sort of consider this the un-tainted talent fresh on stage bringing her great vocals to the stage. There are three sets on the RicksMusicArchives.com site. All of them were part of the Sonny George sets, he helped her out a lot and, of course, is how she met her future husband. Watching her grow into the stage personality sort of saddened me as I knew her as the young woman just starting out. I am happy she is going back to her roots, got back to being with the people she played for and is more home spun that Hollywood glitter. My films are a tribute to her and her beginning.
Most of Rick's Music Archives are when artists started out and needed a break and an outlet. I think these videos are untainted by success and show the artists before they changed into show people. She is young and sweet and he is a rising star already. What a mix.
@@videoseconds Beautiful put. I agree so much. I however am somewhat unsure who Imelda May is these days as the change from Rockabilly to rather dramatic, deep', and very self-reflective music was so dramatic. I heard her say she was glad to get rid of the rockabilly chick look and that she was beginning to feel like a caricature. However she seemed very happy at that time to promote that image. Mind you the eyepatch on he T.V. show was rather over-doing things a bit. I admire Imelda's genuine talent but I hope she returns to some of that fun rock and roll music that so many of us just loved to hear. There is so much gloom about in this modern day so it would be a welcome lift to the spirits. When she put out the album Flesh, after her divorce I felt very sorry for her ex-husband who I noticed remained completely silent on the breakup. Since then Imelda has stated that the album was not about Daryl and the separation BUT didn't she stop to think and realise that the listeners would obviously form an opinion that such was the case. She bared her soul and that is fine but I still thought Daryl showed great respect by remaining silent.
Hi vidoseconds and Imelda M, yaeh let the lady sing, this is a start of a campaign to get this lady of song downunder here in Australia. Please confirm this to Miss May if your legit.
Regrettably the 12 Bar Club, the original, was closed around 2015 to make way for hi-rise apartments and shops. It was located in St Giles London, across the street from where Jimi Hendrix lived/ and died. Where all the guitar shops are. Some think the area is still Soho, but, it is St Giles.
Bring back the Rockabilly Imelda!
Imelda sounds and looks great! So talented. Thank you for sharing!
Thank you so much!
Imelda always looks good, here she looks fabulous!

Higham made a "Cliff Gallup" tribute album with Jeff Beck in 1993..so I guess he must be at least 30 years old here ...
Je préférais son ancien look plus rockabilly sinon super chanteuse.
Son look rockabilly est postérieur à cet enregistrement !🤔
