Swearing in Hyperdimension Neptunia - A Compilation

- Inspired by videos like ''Ryuji swears a lot'', this is a compilation of at least almost every instance of a character swearing out loud in the original Hyperdimension Neptunia. I had to see events for the first time for this compilation, even though I have a copy of the game, I only got the normal ending and of course, I don't have the platinum trophy, so, for many of these clips, we are talking about events I haven't seen using the game itself.
I know that word might not be swearing, but the compilation contains an instance of ''jackass'' and also, Neptune says ''holy craparoni'' in this, why? Well...why not?
Special thanks to Agino Terra, Satoshi Matrix and Yosha for the footage used for this compilation, most of the footage used was from Agino Terra, not that it matters, but I wanted to point that out.

Something that should be said is that Neptune actually has cursed or used swear words several times throughout the series. Yes, in this video, she says ''holy craparoni'' instead of ''holy crap'', and in the same game (the first Hyperdimension Neptunia) she says ''candy wrappers'' when her HDD form ends during an event, which is basically...swearing without swearing, kind of like in Spongebob where they say ''barnacles'' or ''tartar sauce'' when something bad happens and whatnot, or in Little Charmers where they probably say ''dragon mouth'' in a similar context or situation (I mean, in the Spanish version they say ''boca de dragon'', which means ''dragon mouth'').
All I just said is true, as we all know, ''barnacles'' and ''candy wrappers'' aren't swear words, but in those situations, they are used as...alternatives to swear words, let's say. That said (I got a little off-topic), Neptune has cursed for real several times. In MegaTagmension, she says ''W-W-W-WHAT THE HELL?!?!'' during one of the first events in the game (when the real zombies appear), in Hyperdimension Neptunia: Producing Perfection she says ''crap on a crown'' during a conversation with Noire, in Megadimension Neptunia VII she says ''pissed off'' after she meets Uzume (she briefly fights with Uzume after all), in Superdimension Neptune she says ''crap'' at least once (an event where she says ''you both get to ride me at the same time'', at least). There should also be instances of Neptune swearing as Purple Heart, but I don't remember the words she used...so, yeah, Neptune has cursed every once in a while throughout the franchise...man, this was a long comment...

Ah, the original game. It really had no issues with some wild stuff being said lol.
At least in more recent games, other characters that aren't just Blanc and Black Heart say the word ''bitch'' and some villains swear like a sailor.

Everytime I hear Blanc now after I started DRV3 has ruined her voice for me.
She's also Haruhi Suzumiya with the same Vocal tone so if you ever wanted to hear her curse like a sailor. Play Neptunia we have Blanc the legendary Flat Justice.
Vert really is the only one with class.
I remember that she says ''screw'' or something like that at least once in the game, and well, a lot of people, including the people who rate games in Europe (PEGI), consider the word ''screw'' and its derivatives mild language or swearing. It is true that she swears less than most characters in the franchise though.

She is one of the least foul-mouthed characters in the franchise. Even Neptune, Rom, Ram, and Tamsoft swear more than her.

I mention in the description that the video is inspired by content like ''Ryuji swears a lot'' but I never tried to implement a swearing count or whatever because of how laborious it would be. Good job, I bet you had some fun making that comment with the use of ''Booba Brothers'' for example.
I'm like 80% sure that Blanc also said cunt at least once in this game, and that's a petty intense curse in some countries.
I'm also surprised that Noire said bitch, I didn't remember that.
If that's true, I haven't seen the event where Blanc uses that word, and if that's the case, it would be something very surprising because the word ''cunt'' automatically means an M rating with the standards of the ESRB.
The ''strongest'' instance of bad language I've seen in the franchise is when IF says ''fucking bike'' in Superdimension Neptune VS Sega Hard Girls, but of course, that f-bomb is censored.

I've gone through this game dozens of times and I'm still surprised that Neptune hardly swears at all. Blanc on the other hand. She helped that game earn it's 'T'.
''Candy wrappers''. Yeah, Blanc has always been one of the most foul-mouthed characters in the franchise. I can't wait to hear the dialogue in Neptunia Game Maker R:Evolution.

Yeah. When NIS America published the games, they had more instances of swearing or the language was stronger, now with IFI, some games are tame (if we talk about language) compared to the first 4 games. The only games that might come close are Megadimension Neptunia VII, Superdimension Neptune VS Sega Hard Girls and maybe Neptunia Game Maker R:Evolution.

Yes, Neptunia Game Maker R:Evolution is not available in the west yet, that said, it will be released in the west soon this may 14 for PS4, PS5 and Nintendo Switch.

Most Neptunia characters don't have parents, that said, Plutia should be like a mother figure for Peashy, that's something at least. If Blanc had parents, maybe they wouldn't like hearing her using that language. Compa in the first game tells her that ''a cute girl should never talk like that''.

Maybe it's just me. But I hardly class damn, hell and crap as cuss words. Or it could just be because I'm Aussie. Swearing is our second language.

At least for Neptunia: Sisters VS Sisters, but only because someone messed up (IFI or someone who works for that company) with the rating process and the content descriptors of the game. The next game Neptunia Game Maker R:Evolution does contain some swearing and according to the ESRB the word ''asshole'' (for example) appears in the game, so...no problems with the next game.
