Honestly, I believe the time it took him to get here really helped him. What I mean is, in the span of 5 years, the NFL has completely changed in what people want in a WR. 5 years ago everyone still wanted that large X. Now it seems like the league is going smaller at X or primary receivers. JJ, Amra, Tyreek, and more. With XL's size + his speed he becomes an outlier. Almost the A.J. Brown type.
Reminds me a lot of Quincy Enunwa back in the day, who would've been a monster had he not had a career ending neck injury, strong at the catch point, strong RAC guy, needs refinement on the more intermediate timing based routes, even if he doesn't improve there, he has a clear path to usage in the NFL
There are two receivers I LOVE in this draft one is Legette and another is Malik Washington and even though the size difference is huge they both have very similar skill sets if you watch the film
Whenever the upside comp is Deebo Samuel I’m almost always out on that player. Deebo has given so many players perceived upside and that upside has only ended up panning out for Deebo.
@@donsolos I agree. Same was with Laviska Shenault and Treylon Burks. When guys are bad at the wr things that transfer into the NFL but were productive in college as a sort of gadget/line of scrimmage player the bailout comp is Deebo. Solely because any other comp was a bust. And Deebo is the outlier of all outliers, no other WR will ever see the rushing volume he saw in his best season.
Jonathan Mingo for panthers last year for example. When teams compare you to Deebo that tells me you aren’t a great route runner and you need to be schemed open
I can't believe everyone isn't calling him AJ Brown. Dude plays EXACTLY like AJ Brown, super stiff and strong upper body, fast but not very bendy or limber, I mean he's the spitting imag eof the dude. Even their combine numbers are similar with Legette being a slightly better athlete. This dude is gonna rock
A weakness also comes from his frame size. His ability to do back shoulder catches and his ability to be able to come back on a pass is severely limited by his body mass. If I could relate it to something else it would be like having a train engine slow down and go in reverse. Not that dramatic of course, but just to illustrate a point. Stopping and cutting on a dime won't be his strong suite. I'm not saying he won't be successful and have a good career, but don't ask him to do what he can't do.
Can you do an Adonai Mitchell video please. I really like this guy, he has raw talent and athleticism. The Lions interviewed him and I can see them coaching him up and the competition we already have we make him a star. Very similar to Deebo. He is a Brad Holmes dude. #OnePride
