I would like to know Mr Abbott, why the Liberal Party is not pushing back against the insanity of the M.A.D. Laws.
This SHOW could become a victim of them, becasue what your saying goes against the Narritive.

Unfortunately most Aboriginal people don’t subscribe to Tony’s no doubt sincere but essentially patronising view of Aboriginal people living in remote communities and being dependent on political and religious “whitefella” largesse. No Treaty, no Voice, no Aboriginal leadership warranted, OK, so what are Tony, Jacinta et al suggesting in terms of solutions?

    • @downunda107

? Well, if You know even a little of these camps they certainly cannot use the term ' community'. Therein is the first hurdle. Go in to just a couple of camps. Have a full time Plumber, Electrician , Teachers , Doctors, Nurses and so on. Think about what the outcome will be. History shows how many who Live there DO NOT WANT these basic things for their FAMILIES! Same in any part of this Country . White ,Black or Khaki, give the bread and circus. A way to buy grog and drugs and vehicles to push drugs into other communities and You have what the first arrivals found in 1788

The IPA - the cancerous boil on the backside of Oz politics that for a long time now, needs a very aggressive lancing. They DO NOT act in the interests of most Australians, and by giving voice to the most forgettable Oz ex-Prime Minister, nothing has changed.

Our politicians are very short sighted. In a previous interview Mr Abbott said Australia needs to protect its sovereignty. If he was paying attention he would realise we've already sold out to the US. I'm a Liberal voter so it hurts me to say that the only ex-pm that knows what"s what is Paul Keating and he's being shouted down. Just my two cents worth, I'm not a Rhodes Scholar.

With all due respect Tony the Liberal Philosophy is-Overall, the Liberal Party of Australia’s philosophy is characterized by its commitment to individual freedom, limited government, economic liberalization, and national identity, shaped by its historical roots and contemporary policy initiatives.. I have been a Liberal Party supporter for 55 years and the Liberal Party today does not represent its stated Philosophy actually far from it. Remember John Howard was the first in Australia to announce the New World Order, Unnted Nations Socialist Leftist Policy of destroying any freedoms the people may have, King Charles has also expressed this through his affiliation of the World Economic Forum.
Hence the distrust of the Government and Bureaucracy whio are dividing the nation, destroying family values, and freedom of speech as a Christian nation.

And Australia IS NOT a Christian nation. Last census showed Christianity isn’t even a majority.

I’m very shocked. I have enormous respect for Toney Abbot. I voted for him and was extremely angry when he lost his job. He’s a very underrated Prime minister.
He’s one of the best we’ve had. He (last I’ve heard) was a big supporter of Ukraine, something else I like about him. But I’m very surprised that he , like another hero of mine Boris Johnson, supports Donald Trump.
I really don’t agree with that. I’d like to have a conversation with Toney Abbot to understand what’s going on. I get that if you are supper motivated by all the woke bs insanity that you’d dread Kamila winning but surely Donald trump is much more dangerous for the wWest.
Firstly I’m shocked that Abbot think that Trump would in any way stand up to Putin. The first thing he’s likely to do is give Putin everything he wants and then huff and puff about how he stoped WW3. There is no WW3, it’s just Russia, a pathetic country that we should be defeating while building up munitions for a potential conflict with China. I’m no Democrat supporter trust me. I’d have voted for every republican in my lifetime until this election. (I’d have voted for trump twice). But after trying to stay in power after his last election defeat how can you risk letting him back in the White House?
One of the many things I do agree with Abbot in this conversation is when he said words to the effect of “people are usually better the second time round”. Yes, this time Trump won’t be so amateurish. If he himself doesn’t try to stay on for another term then he’s for dam sure going to set up hand picked successor, probably a son.
He’s so corrupt. I agree that the democrats have problems and are scary but Romney or Liz Chayne (excuse the spelling) are the kind of alternatives we need, not an obvious con man.

If the public service was such a different animal by 2013 from 2007, imagine what it’s become since then, and in 2024. The universities just keep churning out these radicals that are filling the ranks and climbing the ladder to the top tiers of the public service. The apparatus is nearly in place just waiting for a revolutionary government.

Canada, New Zealand and the United States all have treaties with their indigenous populations. Australia is one of the few commonwealth countries that doesn’t so you’re blatantly wrong on that front.
