Do you just boil the milk or do you make paneer from it? How does this bless the house? I've never heard this one before and would like to know. Yay by the way for your new place.
@HARPER MORIN BEAUTIFUL and a BLESSING you shared this tradition with me. I've never heard this before. We Bless our home with oil and Prayer. There is no wrong way to BLESS your home in the mix of this world God created so long as it's been BLESSED. God Bless stay safe stay healthy
@HARPER MORIN very cool love learning different traditions we bless the house too with oil and Prayer. So by over boil do you mean just leave it to boil or do you use it for anything after food wise?
@HARPER MORIN gotcha. I'll have to look it up. Either way I love the many different cultural traditions of the ages. All are tales of our ancestral pasts and our beginnings. All Very Sacred and very special.
@Eitan Bernath - Thank you for this video. I am planning to make Paneer at home and I have a two part question a) How long should we leave the paneer in the refrigerator compressed? b) How many days can paneer be stored? Kindly advise
I tried it for the first time the other night & wow!! It is so, so yummy. Truly delicious & actually not too heavy or stodgy. It marries so well with rich spices, as i came to find out. I tried a few varieties. I ate paneer butter masala, paneer tikka masala & matar paneer. All very good & highly recommended. My personal recommendation......Do try @ a genuine Indian restaurant though, to get a true taste of Indian paneer/food.
Wash cheese before putting weight on it to remove lemon taste then you will get real paneer taste. 2. Put heavy weight on paneer to give it shape and leave it for 1~2 hours.
If you rinse the curds after you squeeze them out there won’t be any layover flavor from the acid so it won’t matter what kind you use. You have to squeeze it out again of course but it’s worth the extra step
I love your recipes..Thanks for sharing your talents... Can you help me with this? I boiled 1 gallon of milk, but when I drained the milk,I got very small amount of cheese and most of it was milk 🥛. Can you please help me understand your hat I missed doing? Thanks
2 questions. 1) How much lemons did you use for the juice? Or if it’s lemon concentrate how many cups of lemon juice? 2) how long did you leave it in the fridge for before cutting?
Enough to tore up the milk. To Separate water. Get the solid stuff press it harder keep under load then ready put in fridge for later use. I Neva made it I jst knw it.
i’m so confused. some people say let it cool down before adding the lemon juice and add way less of it than you did. i’ll have to try it your way because a different recipe didn’t work
I want to see you do a video saying "Hey are you buying bottled water( Throwing water bottle). Nah we make homemade water". Grabs ice cubes and starts melting in a pot..😅
Oh godddd !!! That’s way too much lemon juice All you need is about 2 teaspoons for that amount of milk The lemon juice will change the taste of the paneer
@assu you can always rinse it out of the paneer when you make it. I learned to make it from my grandma. Sometimes you need more or less vinegar or lemon juice to curdle the milk. Rinsing gets rid of these extra flavours and keeps the curd’s original flavour

I don’t want to offend Indians but boiling milk for blessing is so superstitious.lol I wonder how many of these they have..praying for any kind of blessings from The One Almighty Allah(god) should be enough. Great recipe tho!x

No whey!!!
Isnpaneer cheese and tpdo the same
Haha I love paneer!

Use a Tofudee or any brand of tofu press to take this paneer to the next level (and not fall apart when you mis it into a palak paneer recipe).
You're the goat
I love seeing you cook traditional indian food i feel so proud as an Indian😌Waiting for more desi style recipes!
I'm so happy you like it
How many kilos of milk and lemon juice quantity and temperature setting very nice video very good shef love from Pakistan
Love paneer butter masala
SAME
the best panner recipe is sahi paneer (royal cottage-chees). lucky me, im from india.....
HOW MUCH JUICE? Not enough instructions, you didn't say whether too keep boiling it after you make the lemon juice
Or if not lemon juice just buy pure citric acid crystals (edible). May be to avoid that lemon taste in paneer.
That overboil thing was true
Yeah! I watched a documentary about it.
I want to see you do a video saying
"Hey are you buying bottled water( Throwing water bottle). Nah we make homemade water".

I like the flavor that it gives the paneer

If you don't get excited about cheese, you're not alive... Or you're lactose-intolerant.
Can you use a t-shirt as a cheesecloth?
Yes. A clean one is preferable.
.
You forgot the salt

Some indians think tht when milk over boils its a sign of bad luck , xD
In North India, milk spilt during boiling is considered bad omen. In South India, it's considered good sign.
