The way Zander only focused on Hailey getting bullied and not Jake really speaks volumes, and I feel like that’s pretty canon to me. I didn’t see much of the other music freaks saying anything on Jake getting bullied either, they just looked shocked while Sean had more empathy by the downward motion of his eyebrows. However he didn’t say anything and neither did the others. It wasn’t until Hailey showed up that they said anything. One thing I didn’t mention however is that Hailey seemed concerned over the amount of bullying Jake seemed to have gone through, yet the others aside from daisy didn’t say anything about Jake. Only Hailey, I feel like that fits canonically as well, at least in my mind it does. 3:35 proves a bit of my point. See, Zander acts as though it doesn’t matter that jakes getting bullied while Hailey is getting bullied, even if it’s technically only one person doing the bullying. The minute it transitioned to Hailey instead of Jake, he had a lot more to say instead of being shocked. It’s like he disregarded Jake’s feelings and problems for Hailey, and I know that they’re siblings, but that doesn’t mean you can ignore how your friends are feeling or what problems they’re going through. Even if you’ve had a fight, wouldn’t you still care about the other and what happens to them? Daisy, I don’t want to say she picked sides, but she stands up for him even without knowing what happened. She was still being a good friend. Now I know these two didn’t fight or anything like that but still you can tell she cares for Jake, like Hailey and Sean seems to show in the video. Sean’s reaction was a little more silent while Haily’s was in her head but they still showed care for Jake in a way. Even though Sean didn’t voice it, I still want to believe he cares for Jake. The part that pissed me off however was Milly saying that Jake wasn’t as innocent as she believed. The fact she had a big smile on her face like in a fit of hysteria to prove her wrong, it’s just, I feel like that fits a little canonically. Not entirely but damn, does that get to me,, Hailey doesn’t say anything about it but she does look to Milly when she notices her smiling. She looks away again when it’s about the talking behind their backs thing. It was only one time Jake wasn’t helping them or treating them like family, and they just, went off on him like that at?? For one mistake they didn’t even hear him out for?? Really??? Man I don’t know what it is but the way Hailey cried at 4:22,,, I felt like punching her lowkey, like you’re crying over one video?? Why does Hailey even get sad over the possibility that Jake and drew are dating or like each other?? I hate when she acts like this in videos because (and this is only my opinion , you cna ignore this part if you don’t agree with it or share the same opinion) why would she still like him after everything? And she didn’t even hear him out especially after Jake like spilled his past on her?? Are you going to forget how he’s tried to change for them, how he’s forced to pick sides, and how Hailey and the others talk down on the jomies, which were literally jakes friends at the time?? Did she ever stop to think on why Jake hangs out with them, did she ever try to see his side of things?? I truly believe the jomies hadn’t meant it in the way others assume. I think they were just not told the full story and therefore was only trying to help in the way they thought was helping. I believe they would’ve accepted him and his passion for singing if he just sat down with them and explained everything like he did with Hailey for some reason. Also, to answer the question about Hailey still liking Jake, in TMF (I personally believed) that her expression didn’t have the thought that she didn’t trust him anymore, maybe less, but not fully none, she was more hurt then angry, plus, Hailey and Drew have had fights trying to get Jake to pick sides for a while. She doesn’t feel bad for Jake fully, yet. (She will later) but she does feel bad over the video implying a controlling relationship (which if Drew and Jake ever got in a relationship it’s definitely gonna be controlling- but I completely understand your side of it, and I think that your also right, plus.
