Had this game in my collection for about 7 years got it on a trip to Hamburg and never played it. I have had to wait until the kids are old enough to play it now. Thanks for the video.
I understand there’s a new version coming from Ares Games in 2021. But the original is outstanding. I hope you get to play it soon (or perhaps you already have?)
@@AdaminWales got to play it last night and really enjoyed it. The Benefit of tier 4. We had a Laugh as the youngest (11) tried to steal from the charity. So we berated her saying you would go into a shop and crack open one of those charity boxes 🤣🤣
It might be a bit late, but thanks for the nice explanation of this game. Also, your translation of the title is very close to what it sounds like to a native German speaker. I have picked up a non-English version of this game and will play it soon.
Stock market games tend to divide players - some love them, others not so much - they certainly tend to have a very boring mathematical look to them. I really enjoy push-your-luck mechanisms in games though, and that's what stocks-and-shares is all about. I have several such games in my collection: Mercurius, Speculation, and others. But Hab und Gut is undoubtedly the best of the bunch. (I actually think it's better than the recent hit Stockpile).

I love the way you pronounce Hab und Gut
My school German classes served me well...
Thank you very much Adam.
I like the idea of giving to charity, but otherwise it seems a little bit boring for me
