For managed databases here is what I can imagine happens based on what I know about managed databases and the little bit I know about load balancing in the context of DO: an HTTPS request is made to the load balancer which uses SSL termination to route the traffic over the VPC to one of the droplets. Every droplet in the VPC has their IP in the managed database’s allow list, so the droplet is able to use a REST or GraphQL API in whatever language/framework (Node, Rust, Ruby, Golang or whatever) to query the DB over a TLS connection and send the results back to the client. Am I somewhat on the mark here at least?

FYI: If you need reserved IP addresses to be attached to your public load balancer, it is "not" possible. For example, if you need to detach the load balancer from the cluster because you are recreating the cluster, not recreating the load balancer, you lose the association between the two and have to re-create the cluster and LB again anyways. Just letting people know this before they invest time into this platform, only to find out that they can't make it do the thing they expect it to do. Do let us know if this changes anytime soon, but as of now there appears to be no way of achieving this, thanks.

Advocate explaining load balancing with a lifting coach operation, all right, I thought we would be talking ospf/isis here, obviously not
