    what brand skillet are they using?

    • @antonpopescu8220
      @antonpopescu8220 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No brand. Just an ordinary steel pan. Of course, after you buy it you have to condition it. These are the best.

    Can I replace milk with water?

    • @ericpmoss
      @ericpmoss 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I assume you have tried by now, but... no. You would end up with watery tortilla batter. It needs the fat and protein in the milk to keep it from becoming tough, and to provide a rich flavor.

      You can replace a part of the milk with mineral water.

    Interestingly, Raymond's English was far better 30 years ago, you can check very old videos. Now it seems that he's really struggling to find words and the pronounciation is well ... veRRy veRRY FRRRench.

    That is a crepe, not a pancake. At least here in America.

    • @JayWelton92
      @JayWelton92 7 ปีที่แล้ว +18

      "at least here in America", so we've established America isn't the centre of the universe. "crepe" means light pancake, they originated in Europe, not America, it's just Americans prefer everything to be oversized, like their heads.

    • @Grimshin1
      @Grimshin1 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      crepe means "crusty, thin, pancake. You also have Lavette, that is slightly bigger and is not served as a desert, it is filled with ham, cheese, sausage etc. What you call pancake the rest of the world call American pancake ;)

      Grimshin1 I’m assuming you aren’t French, as I I think you mean to say “galette” which is a savoury crepe famous for its origins in Brittany, West France.
