Cheapest fertiliser would be to just roll the grass field if you dont count the cost of leasing or buying a grass roller. I believe someone else mentioned this last episode. Hoping you put some silage additive in that baler at some point.

The tractor flipping reminds me of when I was making a silage sausage and the physics broke which turned the sausage into a flying death machine. It went into everything and sent all my equipment, tractors, and pallets flying all across the western wilds map. Took almost 4 hours to fix after I waited for it to ferment and chased it around the map cutting the wrapping 😂
Dag there is a header pack to go with the tucano, it comes with a 7.7m header and it's made by the same person as the combine A real life explanation for the power thing could be that that one has more advanced features than the tucano header? Just suggesting
I've had similar issues with non-standard headers in my games. I usually find that it is because it is sitting too low and the ground is catching on it. If you use a mod to raise it a bit from the ground it might work for you. it usually does it for me

It allows for workers to work together (combine harvester + trailer to silo) or lets you do fieldwork like slurry where the worker will fill its tank at the animal-pen, drive to a field and fertilises it until the tank is empty and then goes to fill it again. It makes a route for workers to work on irregular shaped fields. It can do the repetitive job of loading a trailer with a frontloader, while the worker with the trailer will wait till it is full enough and then drive to where you want it. Basically, it lets you be the conductor of the orchestra that is composed of AI-workers. You 'teach' them their individual jobs and they will 'play' a symphony of activity on your farm/map.
Only a meager 6,487.039 difference on the wheat between the current price and the best price currently listed...sounds like time for some more grass silage..to help pay that loan back asap 😀... If there is a way you can install a double gate by replacing that single gate to allow better access or just do what the worker did and drive through the hedge 🤣 . Love the video regardless.
Maybe try your backing skills at getting out of the field entrance. Just make sure you're pointed the right way as you leave. I think you pulled into the field with little problem, so (offscreen) test out reversing
Hallo Dagerwin, 1st. You had a Dapper Header at the combine. That header needs more power to run then the normal one and 2nd. this header was too big for the Tocano 300. It's also a little bit too big for the Tocano 450 but it's ok if it works. Nice LP. I'm watching your videos since FS17.👍 Keep it up and greetings from Hamburg Germany
I feel the same way about crop types, some maps will have different ones but most of them have 6-8 dependent mods which I don't like being on console. It could handle them but I just don't like them. Great video
Only way to be 100% sure the worker don't continue outside the field is to make the headland pass atleast twice the width of the tool the worker is using. If the worker comes to the headland doing half the width of the tool and there is workable land on the other side, then his next pass is going to continue on the other side. If the outside is non workable land then you won't need as big headland, but on this map it seems only the hedge is separating the fields.

One fertilizer option you didn't mention is a grass roller. Between oilseed radish and slurry, you might be able to do all your arable crops, and you can use a meadow roller for the grass fields. The only thing you need to purchase is seeds! You could also switch to a non-fertilizer drill to get a better working width. (Of course, I'm not a real farmer, so I don't know if any real farmers use slurry on the same fields as oilseed radish.)
Atleast here in norway farmers tend to use slurry only on grass fields. I'm guessing that has a lot to do with the arable farmers don't usually have animals that produce slurry.
From IRL experience and seeing farmers with their claas combines I’ve never seen a tucano with more than a 6m header. Any running larger headers have always been on the lexion series machines
Hey Daggerwin, if you feel like FS22 is lacking on crops, you should try one of the maps by Dajnet. He adds a whole lot of crops, some for arable fields (mustard, carrots, rye, rice,...), others with greenhouses (cabbages, watermellon, mushrooms, basil, dill, cucumber..), vinyards (blueberry, coffee) or orchards (banana, pecan, peach, cherry,...). And obviously the productions that use them (juices, soaps, soups, oils, ...). The downside (for you) is that they are usually maps with larger fields.
I've had the problems you are experiencing. Mu worker drilled over a half grown crop of my canola which he went thru a hedge to find! Tractors flipping and tripping on various parts of the farm or refusing to move at all. Getting irretrievably caught on those silly wire fences etc. You have more patience than me for I have given up and stopped playing this map.
@25:00 leaving the field in a tight corner. You can turn around first and then back the trailer/implement into the road. This way, you can come in from the right of the gate and is the open gate not blocking your path.
I would vote for a reboot of Bucks County, PA Yes I am unaware of the machines that map has are nonexistent but it might be better to replace it with only standard versions.
Hah, different playstyles are a thing for sure .. I just keep cringing on how fast you turn corners with a load attached; when I play I try to make sure I don't bump into things (RP reasons).

It would solve a lot of the problems you have with workers and it’s fairly simple to use? Obviously, being the very experienced farm sim person you are, I’m sure you know of it. So i’m just curious as to why you don’t use it.
Wouldn't be better to use course play to ensure the worker stays on the proper course for the field he in, rather than cutting across the middle of the field at the wrong angle? Also to jeep him in the proper field?

I think they do this when its an automatic transmission and there is not enough power to run the implements.

Daggerwin, since I discovered course play, I have never used the default AI. Just makes it so much easier and more realistic.

You should start using Courseplay again like in FS19. Then your workers won't get as confused.
courseplay should be able to fix the field boundaries for ai, you'd just have to manually map the field boundaries
A little strange that the harvester didn't move at all. The "new" one did the hill with no problem and it have just 50-60HP more, I belive.
Was anyone else expecting a bridge review when he mentioned the bridge at the end?

The combine should work up to a 9m header so the 7m should have been fine and dandy
You can put any brand of header on any brand of combine as long as they are similar in size
