What goes into my Bonsai Soil mix?

In this video I make up some of my soil mix and show you just what I use for my trees here in the North West of England.
I use pine Bark, Fired clay molar, sphagnum moss and Ill be adding vermiculite to this mix for more water retention. All of which are relatively inexpensive and easy to find.
I hope this video helps some of you out, and maybe helps you find a substitute for expensive akadama.

Hey mate, i have tended to use about 20% ration of pine bark in my trees as I have extreme heat and wind and this can kill a tree in no time, Days over 40 degrees are not uncommon.

Keeping your trees holding on to watering is key over there I guess eh?
It's a balancing act over here as we have lots of rain over the winter and it can be dry over the summer. But only 30 degrees, 40 is intense 🥵
