I actually have Premiere 2023 import .mkv files I recorded with OBS without problems, but I have NO idea what I installed, it... just works now. Been working for a while. Looked this up to try to remember what I did to make it work lol.

AWESOME! i tried cchanging the file extension to multiple other types and got the same error but this one works! tytytyty, you just saved me having to convert them all to mps before I could edit

If no sound when imported: In Shutter Encoder > Audio Settings (column to the right of the video preview) > Convert: MP3 256 kb/s 48k > And then click on "Start function"

HI Jens, I've tried downloading shutter encoder on my Mac, but my machine doesn't allow it to open as the software is "outdated" - any other tools available?

Not sure about other software having the rewrap function, however, if you wish to transcode Handbrake etc. works fine. Are you downloading it from the official website? www.shutterencoder.com/en/ you could also try posting a question in their Reddit community www.reddit.com/r/shutterencoder/

MKV is incomptaible with Premiere Pro. My idea is to transcode MKV to ProRes or MPEG-2 for working in Premiere Pro.
