The first pricier makeup I bought was a Chanel shadow duo. What's funny was my husband and I were in the mall Christmas shopping and while going by the Chanel counter it caught my eye. It was stunning. I'd only ever bought drugstore makeup at that point. My husband told me if I liked it to get it. I about fell out when I saw the $$! Lol. I did buy it but years went by before I really became obsessed with makeup. Lol. But, at that point that UD Naked palette was the first thing I bought. It was my first time in Ulta. (Which then led to me going into Sephora). 😂 BTW, it was also TH-cam videos that turned me on to makeup

1st make up memory was when I would hide mascara and red lipstick in seventh grade and I went to school and put it on and my mom picked me up it was raining that day and mascara was running down my face! 😬 there I was caught.. also in the red lipstick, which was horrible I sat there and denied that I had any make up on😝
I can SO relate to your use of Maybellines great lash. It's still the one I use today. I've tried so many mascaras but I always go back to great lash. I did buy the CoverGirl clean mascara you reviewed but I haven't used it yet (I had just opened a new GL the day before I bought it) but I'm hoping I'll get the same results you did. Mascara was the 1st and only makeup item my mom allowed her girls to use going into the 9th grade. Yep, mom held a tight reign on us, lol. 10th grade we were able to use eyeshadow but it had to be lightly applied which wasn't hard to achieve with the barely there pigmented eyeshadows available at that time. 11th grade we were able to use foundation (everyone used powder, lol), blush, eyeliner and a light colored lipstick/gloss. What mom didn't know then? Once we got on the bus/or to school we put more makeup on. On the bus ride home that's when we were scrubbing our faces off, lol. Oh what great memories your video brought out in me... 🤭

That L'oreal tinted moisturizer sounds really nice! I hadn't heard of it before. Middle school Taylor with the mascara cracks me up 🤣. That is such an awkward time period. I remember wearing my friend's bright red lipstick, and trying to wipe it off before I got home...epic fail. I wasn't allowed to wear makeup yet, but my mom was more disgusted that I shared a lipstick, than she was with enforcing the "no makeup until you're 16" rule. So she bought me a tinted lip balm from Avon, and that seemed to be enough to calm down my curiosity. Ironically, after that, I didn't really get into makeup heavily, until I turned 40. I had a few things here and there but not much at all. But something happened when I turned 40. All of a sudden I wanted all the makeup on my face...all at once😄🤷🏽♀️. Great video!!

Years ago I'd sworn off liquid foundation. Honestly I don't think it was too good back then. Felt awful & was so heavy. So years later I wanted to give liquid another shot. Was clueless about what to get, especially choosing the right shade. So I went to Sephora. She put me in the original Lancome teint idole. I bought it but wasn't happy. I day I came across a matte foundation from makeup forever. I fell in love! I've wore mostly mattes ever since. Had tried a couple "satin" finish ones I liked even better. But now older, I just noticed instead of my mattes looking smooth and beautiful, I feel like they just seem "flat"? So I'm thinking about a more Dewey look. I have to be careful tho bc of texture/large pores. So I'm sampling as we speak.. lol

I’m 36 and I wrk in food and beverage and also a mom and have a family and agree with you that false lashes are impractical 😂 and matte foundation definitely looks impractical on my aging skin lol 😂 I love more skin like face products and especially on my aging dry skin.. urban decay naked was also my first high quality and fancy makeup purchase !! I still have it for 6 yrs now. I paid full price no sale or coupons lol 😂 I love it still and revisit it few times a year and still get tons of compliments
I have really oily skin. I splurged a fee months ago and got the hyrdoburst and love it! I just go there body cream last weekend! Its just as great. Do you happen to know if that's safe for your face too? I can't seem to find a clear answer on google lol. I can remember makeup I first got but I cant remember makeup I used just 5 years ago. I was actually thinking about that today It was nothing like what I have now I cant stand false lashes. I cant stand false lashes. They annoy me. I dont like extensions because they always ruin my lashes. I prefer dramatic eyeliner and mascara
I always wore Estee Lauder double Matte liquid makeup. Now I'm 47 and cant wear matte. Maybe I havent found the right one.
Definitely skin care is most important to me now

I loved great lash mascara in middle school. I remember I went to buy it now as an adult and I ended up having an allergic reaction to it. It broke my heart 😭😭😭😭 my lashes looked good until my eyelids got all puffy and red 🤣🤣🤣

Just some advice, if you have super dark circles the Maybelline fit me concealer is probably not gonna be your best bet
I use a color corrector always. I don't like that concealer its too light coverage for me and seems empty every time I buy it
I don’t understand Luminous Silk either. I could not find a good match and disliked the fragrance.
