You will need it brush with metal bristles, will not change the water chemistry any more than shocking really good. By the way it's been almost 3 years now and still looks awesome

Yes, salt and standard chlorinated pools are shocked the same way.
What kind of brush? Wont so much bleach change the water chemistry? Is that what the shock is for?

Worked great!!! Pool was cloudy for a day or two but now crystal clear and no black algae.
