- Jennifer Hudson welcomes the skilled athletes of the Jumping Dreams Double Dutch team from Charlotte, North Carolina. This nonprofit teaches jump rope skills to about 2,000 kids weekly and ranks among the very top double dutch teams in the world. JHud joins the fun by trying her hand (or feet) at some double dutch.

Double Dutch was a big part of the black inner city experience. Today young girls only know Tic Tock, Instagram, lace fronts and eyelashes.
And fighting is what they love doing as well

@Dani Terry It's actually not unfair to say it's sad right and the truth, their not talking about them their talking what is being seen sometimes we have to pay attention to what is being said and understand the truth to it

@Dani Terry You acting as a child rigjt now and it's very sad, their only mentioning what's being done ans what the world sees, you mad at the comment and in your feelings for no reason, see my grandmother always said its always one person to get mad at a situation and not willing to hear what is being said stop taking things personally which you are.

Jennifer Hudson from Chicago so I knew she could double dutch. As far as I can remember my cousins from Chicago taught me and my siblings how to double dutch when they would come to the South during the summer.
This was the comment I was looking for right here! Yes! Yes! And yes!! Double Dutch rope was THEE top thing we went outside to play and do here in the Chi!! Boys used to try to do it, too! So much fun! I’m born & raised here, so I already knew JHud knew what to do!
Double dutch was a popular pasttime amongst inner city youth when I was growing up. I still ❤ it hence the reason I joined a nationwide 40 & over double dutch movement. There are chapters in various cities. I am so glad to see these young ladies embracing the sport in this age of devices and social media.
Grew up jumping double dutch in the 1980s and early 1990s with my sisters and girls that lived on the block👍

This brings back memories from when I was a child. I was in different groups one was double dutch, baton, Hulu hoop, ballet and model from the age of 9-14. I was living in Chicago with my family and we moved to Pontiac, MI when I was 15, I am now 69 .

Very nice show, not sure if many know that this developed with Detective David Walker from 32nd precinct in Harlem. Competitions every year. Which is why the Walker classics take place at the Apollo annually in December. It would be nice to see some 70’s champions with current champions.

I didn't live in the inner-city, but we did play double dutch in junior high and it made me miss those days when I saw this today. As a side note, Jhud needs to learn how to say No to certain outfits. She need to tell whoever is dressing her that she's JHud💥 and can't be wearing that.
