For people in a small space, a folding step stool is a great item to have for doing step ups. Multi purpose, can be packed away neatly, and can usually be found pretty cheap too
Concrete blocks in the barn , so good ! Marky Mark Wildman , his training cues better make him wealthy cause this page is just good vibrations every time !
I have enjoyed the gradual tour of the barn. Reminds me of my family in eastern NC. Also I noticed how the stair stringers are constructed with the treads inboard instead of cutting out the stringers. I will be using that idea soon. Best TH-cam channel ever!
I have a huge crush on your passion, sir! Whenever i workout, i hear your voice saying, “Booty of Steel” 😆. Seriously, I hear your coaching and thus making me correct my form. THANK YOU!
When I do step ups like this, I like to be near a wall or something I can use to correct my balance. My knees aren't the best, and using a crutch for balance gives me the confidence to complete the exercise. It's not long before I'm not touching the wall, but I need that security starting out.
Great video! I also like to do box step downs, i.e. stand on top of the box (with KBs) & then step down facing forward. I think that's a key movement to master as well...and it causes different stresses on the body, quads, ankles, core etc...
I would appreciate a video on training the negative of step ups, i.e. up in 1, down in 5. Bands ? Rope ? One foot in the bucket of a uni-loader while your significant other operates it ? Also, love the box fans attached to the pens.
Inspired by you, I have been doing step exercises with weights for a couple of years now. Near my house are 288 outdoor steps. I use a single Indian club but hold it straight out in front of me. I can assure you that going up, you'll find intense glute, abs AND cardio workout!
Great video, I actually did a step up workout last night. I saw a video the other day of Bob Backlund the old wrestler. He’s been doing stepups daily for his conditioning for the last 40 years. He’s also a big fan of the ab wheel. Maybe you could do an ab wheel video one day. Thanks again perfect timing for me.
Hey, so Bob gave up running due to knee pain. Then he found out about the Harvard step test. He started doing stepups to replace running. As far as programming he would do step ups for an hour a day or more. He does sets, one leg at a time right leg up, right leg down. Maybe 25 each set. I’ve read that he was doing 1000s of stepup each session. Then he would ab wheel for a half hour. He actually sold the Bob Backlund gym in a box for a while. It was a foldable step and an ab wheel. But he stopped selling it because he said people don’t want to work hard anymore. The guys still in great shape and he’s in his 70’s.
I did step ups on to spools of wire while holding an axe today in my warehouse. Thought to myself Mark would be proud of this.
You were correct
Prods the algorithm with a steel mace

I'm interested in these mace/club step-ups you mentioned. Hopefully we see a video on that soon.

Samba for a five-story walk up apartment!
Fian, Dazzin, Dolly, and Clara must have been working off camera. I see this working great with sandbag.

What’s his step up program?

💥🎯
would you recommend an EMOM for this? Or 10sets of 10 with a min rest between?
Depends on load. Light weight. Emom. Heavy weight. Fixed rest period
Any leg exercise tips for people with arthritis in both knees?
A million. I talk about knees all the time. Single arm club, 2 hand club, mace
@@MarkWildman Razor, I mean Roger 😁
Would this usually be an add on exercise at the end of your workout? Programmed in the same way as sand bag ground to shoulder?
you certainly could.
👍🍀😊💚
I feel like fiandazzler daily Clara is the real hero here.
