    Some saying the audio level is a bit low. Fuck me, I'd just bought a Rode lapel mic to make one-take vids like this better, and easier to upload direct from the phone, and it seems the default gain is too low with no way to adjust it. Bollocks. Shame because it's really good at reducing wind noise. I'll maybe not use it for the next one. In post its ok as i can adjust gain but this was shot and uploaded without editing or a laptop. Some of you can probably understand my generic English mumble ok, apologies for those that cannot I WILL STRIVE TO IMPROVE AUDIO it is a thorn in my tyre.

      That sucks. The audio clarity is actually good. It's just the volume is low which like you said suggests the gain is insufficient. BTW its not a bit low. It's very low. I can *just* hear it ok with the volume cranked to the max in a quiet room. In an environment with any sort of surrounding noise, there's effectively no audio.

    I have a Time Exactly like that but with rim brakes! With ee brakes, look pedals, ursus carbon wheels, stages powermeter, Garmin computer, carbon bottle cages and empty bottles and all the rest Dura Ace mechanical the weight is 6,5Kg. Great great bike!

    I have this bike in size medium, with ultegra di2 , 4iiii powermeter, hambini bb, farsports F1 handlebar in 360*110mm, Selle SMP composit, no aktiv fork , elite d40 wheels, galfer disc rotors, conti gp5000s 28mm with latex tubes. Weight is 7,38 kg. Bike is absolutely faultless but it is quite stiff, not really a cobble machine, but brilliant for everything else.

      Tbh with max 28c you'd have to be silly to ride cobbles even if there was a bit of suspension e.g. softtail. The pros are of course quite silly in that respect.

      If the ADH01 is "quite stiff"? Your previous bikes must have been made of play dough. My ADH01 is the best road buzz filtering bike I have ever owned and comparing to my Look 695 it is like riding a Chesterfield couch. Try riding some of the early aero bikes from 2010-15 and you will see what I mean.

    Best bikes. Just sold my Scylon. Building up this in the next few weeks. ADH 01 gloss clear coat to see the weave throughout the frame. Beauty. Can’t wait. 🎉🎉🎉 That Scylon was the best bike I ever rode in 25 years of cycling.

      @@iann23 didn’t want to. My nephew broke his bike two weeks before nationals. They needed something solid and race ready asap. He had his eye on it already and knew how good of a bike it is. He’d better win! Hahaha!! Literally the only scenario I would have sold that bike. Upside, I guess, is new bike day. And, I can see the difference between the two models.

    I bought a set of 50mm FS Kaze rim brake wheels based on your recommendation - I weigh 91ish kgs. I've since purchased a set of the same in 36mm depth. Both sets built up on DT240 hubs. These are the BEST wheels I've ever owned! Even at my weight, they are stiff and fast. The wheels have about 7000km and 4000km on them respectively and have never required truing. Brass nipples and DT spokes mean that they are completely owner serviceable, too. Brilliant company to deal with. Thanks for the recommendation and reviews.

    The ADHX and 2023 ALPE D'HUEZ DISC are exactly the same bikes (regarding shapes, geometry and dimentions, maybe there are structurale differences I didn't manage to spot) except for the fork and the rear triangle which can accomodate 37mm tires instead of 28mm tires. If you are interested in Time bikes.
    I have a 2023 ALPE D'HUEZ DISC bike, that I built from the stock frame (the quality is pretty stunning to me) :
    - Frame + Fork + headset, size M, painted : 1.61 Kg
    - And the ADHX was Frame + Fork + headset, size M, painted : 1.75 Kg
    I think I would recommand the ADHX for the tire clearance only. I am leave in Grenoble so I do only climbing basically I went for the 2023 ALPE D'HUEZ DISC for the weight... which is a little ridiculous after thoughts.
    - Both have round seat posts which I love !
    - The di2 slot is the same in the new version sadly and that the most annoying part/issue of that bike.
    - The head tube with "internal" cable routine is actually great. I can easilly remove the stem. I am not using a bar with internal cable routine, maybe that's what make it great.
    - I would say the bike is overall pretty stiff.
    My guess is that the 2023 ALPE D'HUEZ DISC bike is more a replacement for the Time Alpe D'Huez 21 not the Time Alpe D'Huez 01 that you are showing here, so I would not be surprise that a lighter version get release next year or something.

    Bought the exact same canyon in september last year, knew it was their last badge of rim bikes.
    It's fantastic. 2500$, and 7.23 kg out of the box, size XL.
    There is a few things i really like about Canyon:
    They have not ditched the pressfit bb (unlike too many others), the head tube length is not too tall (looks awful) while stack is decent and i love the seattube angle, at almost 74 degrees.
    For my 96.5 cm inseam, that really makes a difference in not getting too far towards the back.
    Have made 2 changes:
    Swapped the Aero cockpit for a standard alu bar / stem combo, for better comfort and stiffness.
    Bought a zero setback seatpost. Easy to do with the 27.2 mm, and it gives me better ergonomics / pedal efficiency.
    Also bought the Winspace Hyper 2023 r33 wheels.
    How would you rate them towards the Farsports?
    Ride safe!

    I’ve got a 2019 or 2020 AdH 01 disc, one of the last model years made in France. I live in Chicago (flat) but I was bored during COVID, got a great deal on a frame, and my wife agreed to the project (most important).
    The bike is incredible. I came from a TCR and the handling is just loads stiffer and in my mind better. Your call outs on the mass dampener and di2 routing is spot on, though. I ride over potholes every week and the mass dampener doesn’t do a thing. Small quibble given I’m not a weight weenie.

    I've got a Time Alpe D'Huez 22 (the 21 edition, i.e. the cheaper one) and I'm very happy with it. Running LB 45 deep wheels and Ultegra Disc Di2. No mass damper, but with 28 mm tires on swiss roads it's all G.

    I have an ADH21 with Ultegra 12sp and Dura Ace C50 wheels. Fits 28mm P Zeros no problem. The ADH21 is a slightly heavier frame but mine weighs in at 7.9kg with computer mount and 2x carbon bidon cages. Carbon seat post but alloy stem and alloy aero bar. I love this bike.

      @@Gigi26500 to me most of those are buzzwords that people use in reviews ;) Comfort probably has as much to do with wheel and cockpit choices. Flex I can definitely feel the difference though - my peak is about 1200W and I feel less flex when sprinting. Another test I do is to track stand with the front brake locked on and push down on a pedal as hard as I can while keeping the brake on. The whole bottom section of the frame will flex and you can tell the difference between different bikes by doing this - it doesn’t flex much, especially compared to the Specialized Allez it replaced . It is a lot stiffer in this test than other bikes I’ve ridden. I haven’t ridden all the latest and greatest from other manufacturers though. Handling is awesome, I basically just look into a corner and it turns. My favourite bike for descending on.

    You said it: that Canyon was THE PEAK of value, performance, lightness, of the bike era. 2016-2018... After that, it's all gone downwards (disc brakes the most important thing that made new bike worse than the old ones).

    My next project will be an alp or maybe an adhx. Will start it as soon as 2023 models drop in price. Probably February. New time factory in the US should be up and running by then. If its not already. Will be kept in line with times new partners and owners. Sram, Deda, and Head. Will definitely clear out my bank account but i probably dont have too much longer to ride, so i dont care. Im doing it! I have no doubt it will be rewarding. Just looking at it is rewarding so riding it should be orgasmic

    Have the exact same canyon with Di2. Looking back was such a good deal.
    Crashed it 2 months ago, hopefully canyon had a replacement fork 😪.
    Time bikes look sick, I would love to see a tri-bike from them.

    Agreed on that Di2 wire at the dropout! LAME design they coulda done slightly better. The frame is obviously Di2 and Mechanical compatible, but still I woulda put the hole underneath the chainstay instead of on top.... Nice bike though.

    Pirelli P-Zero Race tubed clincher in 30mm (with latex tubes) is probably the best overall tire I've used in 30 years of road riding.
    not allowing wider rims/bigger tires through that nice TIME is a sorely missed opportunity.

    Seatpost clamp is really cool, hope the bolts go fairly deep into the top tube and have solid anchorage. I'd like to see the specs on that. Agreed about the seat adjustment system and the rear cable routing port. Probably really nice if it's a mechanical gear cable running through it?. The fork looks awesome. Time bikes always do look slick. Thanks for the preview.

      @@PeakTorque The Time Sports stem is similar, I've had mine for a few years and no signs of corrosion on the studs that are embedded in the carbon.

    Cable port at the back is fine for electronic shifting, but it sucks for shimano mechanical shifting, because the bend of the cable is to big, so the outer cables keep getting loose and fray at the ends.

      Time included both electric and mechanical guides for my frameset -- my mechanical rear derailleur cables are at an angle that doesn't cause any harsh bends, loosening, fraying etc. Or you can ask for mechanical compatible bits when buying.
      You can also buy them directly from Time -- can't post urls in these comments, but they're in the parts list on the Time USA site.

      @@ericwais119 the way it is done in the video will eventually case problems with the cable fraying in the barrel adjuster of the rear derailleur. You need more cable length for Shimano to work well.

    Any idea where the ffwd hubs are made and by whom? I've heard speculation that they were powerway.
    Id like to see some real world testing and data on that vibration dampner. I presume that's is sole function.

    people in glass houses but the forks and the seat stays/tube top tube junction isn't the cleanest or aesthetically pleasing to my taste but who am i . have read on forums a few people unhappy with quality of time frames and customer service. i've had quality issues with time pedals before fwiw.still use them though. buy it.

    With TIME bikes, everyhing is perfectly designed, simple and bulletproof. 01 has mix of HS/HM Carbon & Vectran. Forged Carbon Dropouts, and forks HS/HM Carbon & Kevlar, BCS, Forged Carbon Dropouts. I have TIME 2023 model with DCS, carbon, Dyneema, and Vectran fibre. Comforts, stiffness and reliability with precision. Mainstream bike brands look like primitive attemps to build the carbon bikes in comparison with TIME framesets. What you actually see outside of the frame is 4K esthetical layer only, but underneath there are 3 layers of Braided Carbon Structure (BCS) the weaving of fibres into complex bi-directional ‘socks.’ Lifetime warranty. Full stop.

    Would you prefer farsport kaze rim 40 over elite drive v40? I know that the elite are a lightweight whealset, but hearing you praze the far one...I am kinda in a dilemma.

    The bike's looks amazing but it really is a shame that the max tire clearance is only 28mm even for the '23 model. I really love riding on 32mm. Even on their gravel ADHX, the max tire clearance only goes to 38mm.

      38mm is really more of an all road spec, yeah. I've done proper gravel on 32mm slicks and it's a bit sketchy but doable, I'd want 40-45ish for comfy riding or 50+ if there's singletrack.

    Where is this? Moulded via lost wax process and the carbon is in filament form. Back in the late 2000s went on one alpine trip and calculated we had £100k plus of bikes between us. Nearly all custom Serottas with carbon rims incl. Lightweight and DA, Record groupsets. Passers by were taking pics. Must have looked impressive. Mapdec has featured Time

      The Logis? So you are riding up the Telegraphe or the Galibier to get there. Nothing like making it hard. But some fantastic descending.a large Tom Pidcock. If you like eating, try the the Logis de France if you aren't staying there. Used to be highly rated. Utterly brilliant descent off the Iseran either way. Galibier to the Lauteret is lightning fast 😊

    I bought a set of Elite 50V rim brake carbon wheels and the rims have warped from braking heat. Are the farsports Kaze rims better at holding up to prolonged braking?

    What frame size is this bike and what’s the rider‘s height and inseam - if I may ask? I added asking, because the sizing of time bikes is quite difficult.

      Sizing is definitely weird. Get the smallest size you think you can manage. I like a 53tt. I’m on XS. In Scylon I can go down to XXS because the head tube is a bit higher than this model. But got XS on ADH because of the head tube length. Anything S and above has a more slack angle on the seat tube and steep ht which stretches out the virtual tt by a good amount. XS and below is a little more steep seat tube and slack ht. Closer to traditional Italian stage race geo. If you’re in between sizes go smaller as the stack is still pretty tall. Hope this helps! 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽 you can also check bike insights and mess around with the different models.

    I watched a bike mechanic slide a bottom bracket into a Time ADHX with his bare hands a couple of months ago. No need for a press. It fit loosely. I lost faith in Time’s engineering and manufacturing story at that moment.

      I bought one, measured the hole, it was 46.00mm. You need to select the bottom bracket. I went with Rotor which is also exactly 46mm

      Not for any of the ones being made now. If you can get the last version made in France, get them. New ones are just not made the same way at all and are made in slovenia now.

      First it is Slovakia not Slovenia. Different countries. Second it is not some third world asian slave labour camp. Slovakia has one of the best public education systems in EU. Discipline is very comparable to Germany. Minus the immigrants. So a lot of super expensive stuff is made in Slovakia. Premium cars like Bentleys, Lamborghini etc all made in Slovakia. Large SONY OLED flat panels. Yacht engines. Etc.
      Second is they use same manufacturing tools. With wax and resin transfer. So it is of same quality as older French ones. Nothing like your typical Taiwanese mass produced frame.
      PS I own Time Fluidity made in France bike. Very happy with it. But if someone offers me to trade it to a modern Time bike like ADHS i'll do it without any regrets.

      @@werb24 they're made in slovakia, not slovenia. They have been made in slovakia for years and no review ever mentioned a quality decline. They moved over the exact same machines and even some employees, so it sounds unlikely.

    That road zigzag on the fork looks like a hacked Pinarello badge. While the seatpost is straight out of some Chinarello

      Also, the damping depends heavily on how much mass the rider has on the handlebars, plus tyre set up, riding speed, and the riding surface... Why bother when you can just pad out the bar tape a bit 🤷🏻‍♂️... Much cheaper option
