This track requires a few listens. The beginning of the song is quite "poppy " . Interesting that the fiddle carries the riff in the beginning. The middle part of the song is really clever and the vocal parts towards the end are outstanding. I wasn't sure on first listening but when you hear it a couple of times it's a very clever composition. Well done Solstice you are not afraid to take risks and have delivered a really good original track.
@@clairrichards474 thank you Clair! Yes, it does have an almost MOR vibe which definitely gave me pause but it’s good to know it’s growing on you and awesome that you gave it a few listens. Sometimes those songs end up being the ones that stay with us.
@@andrewthomas3270 thanks buddy! It’s really encouraging to get this feedback. Reckon this is a dead cert for the album then. Hoping to run a couple more new tracks live at forthcoming shows before we get cracking in the studio 👌
Sensational performance. That bass is so expressive and furnishes the song delightfully. The vocals are exquisite. Stardust would make a cool title. 🤩👍
@@leemerrell4923 Thanks so much Lee! So pleased you like these one. It can be quite daunting (to say the least) putting something new out into the world.
Uplifting! Really like the bass in this one and when you bring the song down before building it back up. Jess sounds awesome, as usual! The band continues to evolve!! Is "Life" the song's working tittle? What was the inspiration for this particular track?
@@douglasstruthers8307 hey thanks Douglas! Yes, ‘Life’s a working title, but may stick, and is essentially the subject lyrically. Like the other recent song with no title, the music came out of noodling with a recently acquired classical guitar 😁
@@solsticeuk Good acquisition, that new classical guitar! It is already paying off. Your new tunes have a real positive vibe. I really do quite enjoy your guitar playing. The recent vibe in Solstice's new music makes for great summer music just like a certain Carlos Santana so often achieved. I really enjoy those tempo changes within the songs. Cheers, from Halifax, Canada!
@@douglasstruthers8307 love that Douglas! Thank you! Yes, a new instrument can often trigger new ideas... or at least that’s what I tell myself as my collection continues to expand 🤣

Lots of love for Solstice, one of the best bands out there!
Great song, the verse and chorus reminds me of Judy Tzuke’s songs from the late eighties. The bridge and solo are spectacular!
@@ulfskjol thanks so much Ulf! This one will be on the new album 🙏
What an amazing song, and stunning performance! Such an infectious groove.
@@petecrisp Aw thanks Pete! It’s a cool groove right. Makes me happy 🌞
Elements of jazz fusion in this one. A lovely vibe.

By far and away the best band around at the moment. Class musicians, class vocals and always original.

The song has a great vibe, and killer harmonies as usual. Very tight and great dynamics for a song that's just being tried out!
