John hits a high crystal clear B5 in this song. He was amazing, we will not see his like again.

I don't think that they have the necessity from Mercyful Fate my friend. They are so better than them. So simple.
I don't hear them trying to sound like Mercyful Fate at all, personally. They probably took some influence from them, but I hear more direct influences from other early metal and hard rock bands, some of whom Fate themselves were influenced by. They had their own sound, unless you're saying all heavy metal bands with ultra melodic leads and high pitched vocalists are trying to be Mercyful Fate.
Little inside info guys based in Florida Glory never heard of M Fate
They were very influenced by Queensryche Warning era they added street Metal+Progressive Elements and Mistuiqe and Crimson Glory was born
