Sam here , as a former track and field and cross country runner, Tyson gay has ALWAYS been my favorite track athlete, dudes been through alot in his career.
The only problem with Gay is his start. Notice in most of these races, even though he wins them, his start is not that good. Had he the starting ability of Asafa Powell, he'd be around 9.56 - 9.61.
He ran 9.71 (slowed down at the end) against Bolts 9.58 The only problem he had in that race was his acceleration and start. If he was able to accelerate like Powell or Gatlin in the beginning he'd be literally side by side with Bolt
SPORTEC he does have the same speed. Not consistently cause his legs aren’t as long. A certain point usain couldn’t pull away. Tyson has blurry legs when he runs just a bad starter when he needs it most.
