I never judge a new season by performance last season. I view the squad in the new season as a different squad, event though the players are the same. You just never know what team you are going to get in a new season.

I like this start for Arsenal. After what Aston Villa did to us at the Emirates last season, I'm looking to put them to the sword! Plus get the two hardest away fixtures (in my opinion) out of the way EARLY.

I don’t know which one you’d rather your club have, but I think for a new manager it’s better to have the easier first 5 fixtures to help get up to speed.

City are show starters. Liverpool have the easiest start to the season. The EPL have tried to avoid a repeat of last year's Tottenham vs Manchester City fiasco. If city winning the league for the fourth time in a row is labelled ‘decadence’ then that’s just even more reason NOT to say it’s ’arsenals league to lose’.
City having a ‘fall off’ has been a staple of the last 2/3 seasons, yet we all know what still happens.
Every single season Arsenal get shafted. Easily hardest opening 5 fixtures of any other team. Then look at city opening and last 8 games = easy. It’s really a joke at this point and not a coincidence

Tbf city have a tough end of January/February; I feel like that’s better than a tough run in cause city are just a juggernaut in their final games. I’d rather them have tough fixtures at a point when things arent too serious yet.
As for Arsenal, I think having tough games to start is probably better than later. They could always recover, city last year had like 3/4 dropped points games in a row in the oct/nov period (I think) yet they still came back to win the league.
@@choerrycola7666 That's 1 year, they've done this how many times in the past 7 years? The best way to give yourself a chance is to get 90+ points. They dropped those points last year but still lost less games than Arsenal.

The way to beat City is to aim to get above 90+ points, not to worry about the games they have during the season. A team has to aim for a points total, coz you're not gonna win a race against them.
