It being an accident does not exclude you from the consequences. Riz needed them and actively avoided him, otherwise I highly doubt Legoshi would have judged in the first place. Especially after Riz tried to justify his actions saying "We were close" and all that when in reality him and Tem weren't even close as friends and if anything were acquaintances.
