IMPORTANT NOTE! The price of Metal Fetishist shown in the video is in reality LOWER! It should be around 388 USD VS 490 shown in video. Check unzu.nz/bbm for the actual price!
😜 There should be a warning or something!!! For real! My credit card is gonna get whiplash. Last time I had it that bad was True cuckoo's Softpop2 demo
I've had mine for a few months now and I love it. I watched a demo of it right before Superbooth and I think the video ran for 25 seconds before I sent a message to my local synth dealer. So inspiring and fun to work with. Love it!
Really was not expecting much from this synth-quite a pleasant surprise! Patch points + MIDI would go a long way for MK2. Side note, you could output the CLK from the Pulsar-23 to one of the 1/4 Jacks and patch that to the Metal Fetishists' Clock Input, if you wanted the Pulsar to be the master clock. Thanks for the great work and nice presentation, Bo, much appreciated 🙏
Sounds like that old Laibach record I've never managed to listen to, more than 2 minutes. But for those who are into this kind of noices - seems really cool!
That's really awesome. I love using randomness in my music. The harsh metalic sounds would be fantastic for Industrial. Perfect Circuit has this for $399 US. Unfortunately That's more than I can justify. So I will wait until they come down in orice or Uli decides to make one for half the price. All that said, i might end up having to save up my pennies and pay full price.
I'd love to see a Venn diagram of hardware synth users and people diagnosed with ADHD haha. I bet like 80% overlap at least. I'm in the overlap myself!
I have one for a few months and it s hard to jam with it think. I m not the kind of guy that does record everything and then uses only the best parts, but i really think that workflow is needed. You change sounds quickly turning a knob and lose the sweetspot and get something completely different. So it s not a tweak and jam and don t look back item. I did think about selling it. I might pair it some more with other gear like the pulsar.
Very EBM ( which is sort of where my music is going atm) interesting sound, I’d really love one but for me the dealbreaker is the price of it were in the €100 to €200 price range, I’d probably be figuring out how to save my cents for one but €400 plus is a bit dear particularly given it’s somewhat quirky niche appeal, hmmm…
Not quite the same, but MFB Filterbox (less random) is first thing that comes to my mind which is not in production anymore. (also similar in price in used market)
The guy who created this thing is flying solo, probably out of his damn garage, and just walloped the free market of synthesizer right in the jugular with a truly innovative and feature rich device for the purchase price equivalent of a Chase Bliss pedal. Seems like a winner to me. Keep banging, Bo!
@@scottsweatshirt9753 When i hear an actul track being made with it i shall be impressed besides that its a toy for rich twats twoddling bleeps and sqeeks trying to fob us off its avant garde lol
1. Plenty of demos of how to use it with your music in the video. 2. Making a track with a 1 voice synth… is possible but not the point. Check Red Means Recordings live session he posted a month ago where he uses this in a setup. It rocks! 3. Artists from all walks of life buy niché instruments (like Scott says its the price of a premium pedal, and lots of artists buy these pedals) 4. A Microfreak as amazing as it is is a massproduced broad appeal instrument. This is not. This is clearly a unique passion project.
$399 in the US. Untz Untz ships from the EU and VAT is tacked on that listing, and of course the exchange rate is sometimes not so nice. So not near as expensive as mentioned in the video.
Actually the Metal Fetishist can also make amazing Ambient Soundscapes and Synth Arpeggios without any noise-distortion, you just have to play around with the switches and knobs to find the softer part of this wonderful machine. I love this Percussion Synth as it is. It hits hard when you want it to and it's always a Blast whenever I use it.💡🤖🤙🏽🎛🥁🔥⛓️👁💥❗️
The bass station 2 is trash I’ve had it for twelve years got it on preorder and after 5 years the buttons disintegrated and then the pitch knobs got sticky and smelly I had to replace opened it up and all the wires had turned brittle and were cracking and now it’s been a few weeks since then and it won’t turn on trash now sad I really liked it
Funny is they send to EU and to US but if you ask them why they don’t send it to Uk they will say this is because of custom duty. And I bet sending it to US doesn’t make that problem. That’s why I think we just should avoid that freaky idiotic thing and swipe it for something different 🤷♂️

It's a true gem. This synthesizer surprises every time you turn it on.
That was a awesome combo to put those 2 together, very much complimented each other. Thourghly enjoyed the demonstration!
This synth is so much fun! Cool thing is most videos I've seen everyone uses it in their own way, the sound can be so versatile
I have never impulse bought something SO FAST in my entire life. The gosh darn video was not even done yet. 💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀

I love the flowchart layout. It sounds great. I didn't think I needed this, but after watching I think I do. Cheers. :)
Ah, Tetsuo: The Iron Man. Sounds great.
Hot damn you nailed it! Hahaha
It has to be.
Yep, next he will release a drum machine called "Body Hammer"...
@@BendApparatus Hah! That would be an insta-buy for me!
Haven’t seen that name pop up in a bit, good call
This looks sick, some great jams there Bo!
This is pretty epic, I really dig these sounds and beats
this little badboy looks very cool!! you must a have fun missing around with this bo!! thx for the news
This thing sounds fantastic!

This would pair really well with my Bastl SoftPop 2, great performative pair. Only wish it could be USB powered for convenience. But sounds amazing
Thats a good pairing!
I met this at Bristonica this weekend (after somehow missing it at Superbooth), it's very cool.
But you can’t buy it from the video sponsor because they don’t ship to the UK
@@greyaria both Elevator Sound and Signal Sounds stock it in the UK.
Looks like so much fun.
This has been on my radar since Superbooth.
Same.
Ohh the Pulsar-23 through the MF ♥🔥
9v DC power input, how unusual now days. This is a nice little synth with lots of potential. Time to hit the electro beats
Sounds like that old Laibach record I've never managed to listen to, more than 2 minutes.

@5:45 that’s totally Here’s Johnny!!
This reminds me so much of every time I sit down with my softpop2. 😁
Feels like the baby brother of the DFAM or Behringer Edge

sounds like a thin dfam the added effects are cool
Ooooooo! I could do ELP's version of "Toccata" with that! 🤩
very cool instrument!
A must for the next Robot Rave!

It's worth every penny. Honestly. Just save up and get one. Pair with a DFAM and a delay pedal for pure EBM/industrial heaven.
lack of traditional midi bothers me, but other than that it looks really fun. I can imagine many applications for this device.
Not quite the same, but MFB Filterbox (less random) is first thing that comes to my mind which is not in production anymore. (also similar in price in used market)
What do you think of the Redshift 6 from Supercritical? I think I will get one when it's out.
Sounds great! UI wasnt done when i tested it
So you're telling me it's exactly made for me...
Small modular, but great results
Cool synth! And another shop to fuel my GAS.
another box making fart sounds. i want one🤣
They should have called it the Nine Inch Nails-alizer
How fking much? love one but price is way too high for such a small machine with limitations plus you can get a microfreak cheaper .

Can you plug a guitar into it?
I dont see a reason why not
But i dont own a guitar
Absolutely. It's quite stellar on guitar. Lots of glitchy, filter-movemens, especially when you play with the random skips/ sequencer at audio-rate.
oh wow I thought it was analog from all the other stuff I have see about it for months... Has a lot in comon with the Soft pop 2 i think
