an MNA represents the voters of his constituency, not himself. if an MNA defects to another party, it means that voters of that constituency are also defecting. thus it must be confirmed from the voters if they are okay with having their votes now represent a different party and to do this there should be a simple referendum asking voters if they still support their current MNA or not. this referendum should happen BEFORE the mna votes on behalf of his constituency.
