Always worth the 2 1/2 hour drive to see the one-of-a-kind movies they get! Love 'em! The first screening I attended was "My Neighbor Totoro" during a Miyazaki month. The entire theater was packed of kids and families watching such a pure and perfect film. I'm fond of my "Frances Ha" experience 'cause it was the first new release I saw there (that no theater in my neighboring state screened). My favorite one, however, was a midnight screening of my all-time favorite film: Scream (1996). Also, seeing Todd Solondz's Wiener-Dog in a small, packed screening room the weekend they reopened was quite an experience too ;)

So grateful this piece was made celebrating the Belcourt's rich history and its profound contribution to our middle Tennessee's culture!
What a great piece! They are host to some wonderful and insightful experiences. May they continue to be a cultural beacon for Nashville.
The Belcourt is also the place where Kevin,Bill and Mike from Rifftrax film their live shows.
I had my first and only (so far) experience with The Belcourt is 12 hours of terror in 2018 and I can't wait to go back.
Thanks guys, great piece! Would love to see one on Orlando's Enzian theater some time in the future!
Yeah, I'll have to make the trip on up there. Maybe I'll bike up the Natchez Trace to get there. It'll be worth the journey.

yeah, it has a nice John Lurie score as well... they could commission a new episode of Fishing With John w/ Mary Kay Place for the supplements
