I had M&Ms yesterday because I was too lazy (also sick with a cold) to go downstairs to get my real dark chocolate. :) You got this!
Animal AG's effects on greenhouse gasses, in the USA at least, aren't as big an issue as they are made out to be. Yes, cattle in the USA are at 91 million, however, buffalo are down from 30 million to 420k. Another thing to consider is that, while global cow population is up, other ruminants are down. I already gave you the example of the buffalo. Another example, sadly, is the elephant. In Africa the elephant population has dropped from 26 million to 415k. While cattle numbers are up, unfortunately, every other ruminant's numbers are down. Another thing to consider is that, of the top 5 methane producing countries, only the USA and Brazil are part of the methane pledge.
Elephants are not ruminants. And if you subtract 420k, or even 30 million, from 91 million you still get a lot of cattle. Plus you have to add the use of fossil fuels to raise those cattle from fertilizers for fodder, to powering the farms for the production of that fodder and the farms to raise the cattle, to the transport to the slaughterhouse, etc.
I think (correct me if I'm wrong) that the methane concern comes from domestic cattle being fed grain as opposed to eating grass (like wild cattle would do). This causes them to have more trouble digesting, which in turn causes more methane.

Dr. Gregor, there is missing information in the WFPB world that needs addressing and unpacking. Plants provide the 8 essential amino acids and our body makes the 12 that constitutes the 20 in a complete protein chain. Animal products supply all 20 amino acids. So, does our body still make its 12, that would bring the number of amino acids to 32 (the 20 from the animal plus the Body’s 12.) for a single protein chain. Then what amino acid from the animal protein chain, creatinine for example, is helpful or hurting the human body. There is a complete absence of information/research on these important facts.
@@Magnulus76 Granted, excess “protein” is excreted or burned as fuel is a good “generality.” But, I believe “protein” here regards the 20 AA that the body uses or burns but not the extra 12 that comes to exist when humans eat “animal” protein having all 20 amino acids plus the 12 it makes to complete the 20 AA protein chain. I believe the answer with specifics will help us understand “why” animal foods are deleterious to the human body. And, maybe I need more education. But, the conundrum does exist and disease mortality compels us to answer this question with scientific specificity. Thanks for your consideration.

There are complete plant proteins. Or easy combos like rice and beans.
Or plant food is poison.
For a long time I would alternate between Beyond Meat, Impossible Burger and beans and lentils. It was ok but I just can't drop the real meat intake. Must have real meat at least once a week. Eggs and Fish are on my menu too. Sugar and high carbs are probably worse for you than any other food.
I stopped buying sugar and oil, most things have sugar or oil or both in them already. Flexitarians like you are the fastest growing group and are making a huge difference, and for that I thank you. I'm a 10 year vegan b.t.w.
Eat healthy every time ,& exercise, no cheating! Unless u ride a bicycle, & i do , y i stay skinny, hint hint , 💝🚴♀️
plant based meats are racism towards those who traditionally ate plant based diets but do not care much about burgers, sausages, cheeses, sliced breads etc such as indians from india ... why should we indians try burgers ... burgers do not make us salivate only dhals, rotis, rices, biryanis, pakodas, idlis, dosas put our salivary glands on overdrive ... do another study on salivary glands and you will find indians performing better when served their traditional foods because all those natural enzymes in saliva have a million years of history of darwinian evolution ... westerners just need learn easterners' cookery to go plant based ... you do not need beyond burgers
NO
We are what we eat....... Are you a vegetable ? Are you gassey, skinny fat or just not feeling good? Put some animal protein and fats in your diet and you'll feel much better.....

No was indeed the answer. Sadly he skirted saying "no." He instead couched it via "compared to what?"
