Thank you! I have symmetry ocd which a bunch of people don’t know abt but when my friend found out they were like “but ur room should be clean and all ur stuff should be neat” I tried telling them that’s not what ocd is but they didn’t believe me 🙄

yeah i have symmetry ocd and my friends are just like “dude you just like having your room clean or whatever thats not ocd” but i go to extensive measures like my shirts are organized with the back facing right hung in shades of color order, and my socks are lined perfectly folded in half with the folded part on the top facing down in neat color sorted stacks. my therapist suggested it when i started organizing fidget toy bins and asked if i do this with other things and i told her about my clothes being color organized by shade folded very specifically, and my art supplies organized by color and shade and how i do random and repetitive things when im nervous because things are unorganized

I held my things tight in bus as I'm afraid that I'll throw my phone out of the window, I think I'm a pedo (I'm 19), when I see something dirty my mind creates images of me touching that or even eating that which is really disturbing, is this related to OCD

When I was in preschool (daycare) I wanted to do a lot of things like dance and karate, my mom later signed me up for karate and after 3 weeks I quit because I got diagnosed with OCD and a few months later I went into kindergarten and I kept spiraling because of my OCD. I had harm OCD and kept thinking if I messed up my math problems I would die. Now I’m at the top of my STEM class with a 94.0 and a 96.0😅😮😅

Is there one for focusing on one’s breathing way too much? I tend to inhale whenever I read a paragraph that is four lines or longer, and exhale when it’s less… not sure if it’s just a quirk or ocd 🤷‍♀️
