Kulas, that white root crop you're asking about the name is called RADDISH in English and LABANOS in Tagalog. It's a must in any Sinigang, but it should be half-cooked, a little bit crunchy.
Madman is a delight to watch! I'll copy the sosyal salmon! Steamed fish is healthy! Chinese style does it by just marinating with soy sauce and pounded garlic juice...when cooked, we garnish with sliced chillies and spring onions...upon serving we pour an infusion of sesame and ordinary oil boiling hot pouring on the fish! Absolute showstopper! 💪

I’ve noticed that here in the Philippines we get the left overs of the Salmon, like the head or the belly which can not be used by the higher end restaurants. You can buy one Kilo fillet of salmon in JTC Supermarket here for about 1500 pisos. That’s pretty pricey and most people can not afford it hence the reason it ends up at the sushi restaurant or the fancy restaurants 😁 that white root is a type of radish. What my Professor friend at #UBC does is- she roast the head of the Salmon ( to remove the fishy taste) then boil it to make soup 🍜 add some Mung beans , heaps of Ginger and add some Parsley. Yummy 😋

we always have salmon because it is good for the heart. my mother super loves this fish. yes it is always bought in strips. another fish pampano is a personal favorite. both fish are quite expensive. i laugh at the viand word. it is english. it is so nice watching the cooking vlogs because you watch also the dynamics of all men keeping house

It's expensive coz it doesnt exist in our seas, salmon lives in colder seas, so they have to be imported. Hence the higher price
