The Airbus concept can be more practical. It's actually a clever solution. Since the flying mechanism isn't connected, it can be a VTOL configuration connected to foldable wings for longer aerodynamic flight. It also has the possibility to be hybrid until better, lighter batteries come on line, or maybe synthetic fuel/fuel cell (only in the wings). Larger, lightweight wings can also have redundancies like parachutes. Airbus can sell the car to help costs and the flying wing can be a service just like booking a flight. Rather than drive to outer New Jersey, Upstate NY, PA, Boston, NC, etc., from NY, you can conveniently fly there. Pick up your wing in designated locations, sanctioned by the FAA. I understand the reason for ducted fans in crowded cities but I think it's worth the effort if the wings are only available in designated pickup areas, while staying in the car or away from the car during deliveries for safety. Like drones have operators, I think the wings should have operators and follow FAA guidelines. They shouldn't be fully autonomous. Operators can have the same communications as regular pilots in terms of airspace, landing and holds. If safety is key, maybe the wings should have an operator and pilot for pickups. I'll have to think it through. Aviation shouldn't be left in the hands of pedestrians with no knowledge of flight movement. The wings can be summoned in areas deemed safe like rooftop lifts or open areas that are FAA designated. Just drive to those spots, get your wings, fly to Boston from NY, drive away once you hit the ground. I'm going to modify this concept.
As depicted, these vehicles will only be practical in ideal situations, limited private ownership, low population and perfect road system. In other words, Utopia.

The Mono-Wheel (9:18)??? I have seen it in MiB3. But you must consider the physics! Try to do an emergency stop - the wheel stops (if ever), but you will continue spinning. Nothing will slow you down - except the friction in the wheel (must be very low due to efficiency) or the air breaks.

The ASAP and Aeromobil was quite impressive, and frankly the only one on this list that probably will have a remote chance at acceptance knowing that some people would love to have a helicopter that flies like a plane. The rest seem too advanced for humans to settle in. We need a sense of challenge to adapt to our current cars, so to build cars optimized around our bodies would probably turn out to be more awkward for the end user than being disposed to a car that you can physically drive and feel comfortable in at the same time. If you want safety in a car, then lose the weight of a car. We don’t need 1-2 ton vehicles to move us around. If we all used vehicles that weighed less than a hundred kilos and could still reliably achieve reasonable highway speeds, the sheer reduction of force alone would make a 40mph impact nonetheless a 25mph impact survivable.
I like the Mimi Vision Next 100 the best because of it having a steering wheel. BTW Eringo looks like those ball cars in Jurassic World (sorry I don't know there name).

I prefer this car 4:13 that takes you anywhere and doesn't need to use steering wheels to drive cuz i don't trust drivers anymore. People these days are distracted with so many things, Phones, Making videos while driving etc. Like i want a car that will automatically takes you home when im drunk, you just press a button or someone can press the button then boom takes you home. So no more drunk drivers driving or i can just sit and my car takes me to my location i want and i could use my phone or sleep or if you have kids in the car, you can take care of them while on the road without stopping.
Someday. I was told that by the time I grew up these same Ideas would not only be routine, they would be the Norm. Oh Well. I hope they make it before you all get old & i'm dead.
