What is the best lens to use for cataract surgery? When the natural lens of the eye becomes clouded from cataracts, surgery is performed in order to remove the clouded lens. During cataract surgery, the natural lens is replaced with an artificial one to provide clear vision and improve color contrast. Vision correction can also be accomplished through the use of such an intraocular lens or IOL implant.
Cataract surgery animation is shown briefly followed by an explanation of the 4 main types of lens implants used in cataract surgery: monofocal, multifocal, extended depth of focus (EDOF), and toric.
Accommodating lens implant is not discussed as part of this video's discussion on cataract surgery lens choice as this IOL implant has gone out of favor; EDOF implants are utilized instead.

Thanks I really thought the graphics help me understand the differences. I just got one eye done and I trusted the Dr to choose best solution and I got the Toric lenses . I am very hss as ply with them

Curious as to which probiotics are best for restoration of nasal microbiome. Any input on this matter would be so greatly appreciated as I anticipate sinus surgery for very long standing chronic infection and want to try to help it not return after surgery.
