If you were born in the 80's you can't deny that the 80s music and futuristic neon lights live in you, Drive is one of my favorite movies, being a car guy myself, love every second of it, it's not your average car movie but a great 80's vibe drama/action film

It is just me or did Ryan Gosling become the poster boy for synthwave? From Drive to 2049 his image seems to be the face of synthwave and everything 80s....
I was in my early late teens and 20s during the 80s. I loved that decade and era. God was it easy being cool then. You didn't have to be as nuts and rich to be thought if as cool like you do today. I loved the whole 85 Bears and the entire music vibe that created so much of the glitz and glamour this generation simply can't handle.
I'm an '83 myself. This is going to get listened to on my drive home from work in my '89 Marquis. Who else out there is living in the past? And yes, I know this is synthwave and it is a much later phenomenon. Much later but much needed.

The 80s was bad ass...Mike Tyson was the champ....Chuck Norris, Steven Segal, Arnold, Stallone and Van Damme was kicking ass on the silver screen...The Buick GNX was the most awesome muscle car of the 80s and Karate Kid grabbed a generation and didn't let go and non the less people had a different set of morals and respect.... something that's missing today ....Damn I miss it as well.....🇺🇸🦅💯

Could Ryan be protrayed as a lone wolf in this part? I mean, think about it. He is actually always alone, and until he meets the girl and her son, and becomes a part of their lifes, he never really had anyone to care about, or to care about him, other then, he just took care of himself, and did his job. Granted, his character is mysterious, and interesting. That gives the vibe to the types of guys I've been attracted to my whole life. ( Not just that he is handsome) Duh! But I mean to say is: it is an observation of the inside view looking out the outside view, and trying to determine why, and how allowing people in, and into his life changed, and turned him into a better person by the end of the film. She jumps in with a smile and a kiss saying "what took you so long".....I smile back and we peel out of sight on a wet Las Vegas night.
