I bought one of these and returned it 3 damn times because they were all BROKEN out of the box! They leaked and had other issues, I also bought the straight version of this air die grinder which worked perfect out of the box. So for the angled die grinder I upgraded and got the Harbor Freight “Chief” version which worked great out of the box and has been since I’ve had it.
Omg i couldn't change tool out and im like wtf how the hell i do it last time n since i rarly use for the life of me i couldnt remember.......until you...u saved me alot of stubbed toes and lots of tears man oh man i was really gettin heated as to why tools wouldnt fit... the collet stuck hahaha!!! BESOS MY FRIEND U GETS BESOS! 💋
Milwaukee M12 angle die grinder was life changing for me in my shop. Use it for every metal project with the Roloc adapter and flap discs and pads. So I passed on an adding a pneumatic version.
Get yourself a push pump needle greaser for the bevel gears in the head, their cheep to buy, and put grease in the head at the point where the little ball bearing is once in awhile
These are not bad. For bodyshop and mechanic techs, these make very good "back up" grinders if the expensive unit happens to break, fail, or is stolen. Oiled properly they'll take punishment for a good stretch but with heavy use these will eventually wear out sooner than the more expensive, metal-geared versions.
Ha! I purchased that exact tool a month ago, and it was my first ever air tool also. Bought it for the sound. Happens to work pretty good too ; ) Happy New Year Bruce to you and Selena and family. Blessings, Health, and Prosperity in the coming year!!!
I am very experienced using air tools are use them to cut metal Sand wood and grind metal just make sure you put maybe 3 to four drops of oil in the air tool
I used to work at a aluminum wheels manufacturing company and they used these type of grinders. If you don't oil them, they will die. They will not last 20 years with regular use and no oil. Granted, ours were used 24 hours a day.
@@DIYHomesteadProjectsDIYHP10 It was working smoothly until it got stuck in a corner. A lot of coworkers are having the same issue with those grinders. As soon as they get stuck with something it breaks. I guess the rpm is to much for the mini grinder to handle. I am thinking of upgrading to the chief brand from harbor freight.
I'm heading back for the third damn time. This thing is a POS! Used it on one side of blade and then air pouring from exhaust and wont air up. Oiled and all.
@@DIYHomesteadProjectsDIYHP10 it MIGHT be ok for a very minimal use hobbyist, but for a pro, you should just get a decent one and buy once, cry once. I and other wrenches have had a few, and it's not worth it to struggle
If I need to rely on any tool to pay my bills or put food on my table I'm likely not going to find it at Harbor Freight. Using a tool for hobby or recreation projects around the house is a completely different story and I'll likely buy the cheapest one I can find. In my mind "professional use" and "hobby use" are two completely different subjects with completely different requirements and this applies to any tool IMO.
@@DIYHomesteadProjectsDIYHP10 there are a few things there that are ok, and their lifetime warranty on a lot of stuff is good if you break something, return it no questions asked. But their air tools are junk in my experience
it is not good all air equipment from Harbor Fright is garbage do not buy I bought a lot and lost , all is garbage do not be happy if you can buy a little cheaper.
I've had good luck with Harbor Freight air tools. I've had this one for over 3 years now and I use it quite often. Not one problem with it so far and it's still going strong. I would definitely buy the same tool again if it quits working in the future.
@@DIYHomesteadProjectsDIYHP10 sir I have a body shop I tried them too and I can not believe they have good air or electric tools they bring only cheap garbage to make money on them only the hand tools like sockets are not very bad, china only makes trash.

That's a bummer, mine was good right out of the box and still going strong. I must be lucky!
Did you check the grease inside i heard some people had to put more in

That looks like a real nice tool to have. Now I want one. LOL Thanks for the info!

Just loaded up on roloc discs, time to pick up another die grinder. Thanks.

Ha, that's funny! It does work pretty well and so far I'm really liking it.
Happy New Year to you and your family as well Mark! Thank You!
Thank you for this video mine also was not fitting the wheel in !
No problem 👍
A very handy air tool, you'll be surprised how useful it is and how often you use it.
I think so too!
8:07, often referred to as a ROLOC. The name refers to 3M's brand but most mechanics and body repair techs call the generic versions "Rolocs" as well.
Good to know, thanks!

Thank you for the feedback.
Just bought one of there today for $8 and some change, on clearance + 40% off with ITC membership.

A big plus for air tools is that they can cost a lot less than their cordless equivalents.
I agree with that Thomas

Also, look for some wire brush attachments. They're fantastic too
Thanks for the tips! I'm going to look for some of those wire brush attachments, that sounds like just what I need.
Mine stopped working within 30 seconds of use.
That's a bummer but at least you were well within the 90 day warranty.

No frustration here, a year and a half later and it's still going strong.
