- Solomon Grundy is a reanimated corpse stemming from a cursed place near Gotham City called Slaughter Swamp. He has had many appearances in which he had different levels of strength and intelligence, once surpassing even Superman in power level.

Fun fact: back then, Solomon Grundy was a regular human-like zombie. After Hulk was created, Solomon’s entire look changed to mimic Hulk.

You know what, I just realised something. Even though Grundy comes back as a different person each time Different power and intelligence levels), the JLA really takes advantage of the fact and uses lethal force.

It's just more convenient for them to kill him than to capture him, since 'he's just a zombie.' Unfortunately, he remembers who killed him, how he died and each resurrection is the worst pain imaginable. Living is suffering for him, and resurrection the worst pain of all (since the dead DON'T want to come back.) Plus all of his friends and family are gone. He'll never see them again and he might end up being the last soul on Earth. The guy really needs a friend or something because hurting him only hurts the JSA in the long term.
I mean, he's immortal and durable enough, so they can let loose a bit.
The only reason he was smart in Public Enemies was because of something I won't spoil but you have to watch the movie
@@leafyishereisdumbnameakath4259 he's been that smart without it before. granted he's never had a personality with that articulate of a speech pattern. he usually prefers to "speak with his fists" even when he's smarter because he knows how strong he is and figures "why talk when i can get results the easy way."
I loved Grundy when I was a kid, still holds up. I love how he instantly turns on Sinestro. One of my favorite supervillains, the original tank. He's boring, but he can't be killed and always comes back. Funny character.
Though, he can be interesting when written a certain way.
2005’s and public enemies’s Solomon Grundy always felt the most unique because he was lanky and had a corpse like face in the 2005 series while in public enemies, Grundy was intelligent and it was the one of the few times he didn’t refer to himself in third person
Actually, in public enemies, he was under Gorilla Geoff’s control. You can tell when it ends because when Batman’s tear gas ejects, Grundy talks in third person again.

Grundy doesn't act much like a zombie. He doesn't go around eating human flesh and I never saw a zombie that had hulk like strength
Jason Vorhees is a zombie with incredible strength.
Mostly because he's not really a traditional zombie. If anything, he's more a Revenant. Similar, but with usually higher brain functions and don't do the whole brain eating thing. He's also, at least in the comics, considered an elemental of a sort, connected to the Gray and the Rot, a similar elemental Force to The Green (The collective power of all plants in existence who empowers beings like Poison Ivy and Swamp Thing) And the Red (Which is the corresponding power that governs all Animal life, which empowers people like Beast Boy and Vixen) The Gray (Or the Rot depending on the reality/continuity) Is the representation of fungal based live and decay, rotting things.

The Behemoth .....He’s become DCs Hulk. For deacdes he wasnt the physical threat to Superman. His leveled up strength along with “Grundy Smash!” Is a modern take and obvious rip-off to make a dumb unstoppable monster, which he really isnt.
@@chrisdragnet722 Grundy's strength always changes whenever he dies and comes back, but for the most parts he's usually Superman level in strength. I don't recall him ever saying "Grundy Smash" in the comics he's either spoken in full or broken sentences or only spoken the Solomon Grundy rhyme. Now in TV Shows, Movies, and Games are the only times I've heard him say "Grundy Smash" or "Grundy Crush".
Just to be clear, the 2005 version of The Batman,. it's clay-face in disguise, Grundy didn't actually show up in action.
