When you get married, you take on the last name of the husband because you become his property. Sounds very bad today, but it's factual. Y I u have to get a license from the county or state, you have to have a ceremony by a state licensed agent, somebody has to give you away, then the county or state must list publicly that she is now his wife basically taking her off the market, and if it don't work, you have to go to court, the same people that said she belonged to him, have to officially say she no longer belong to him and other men can approach and marry her. When you get married, you take on the last name of the husband because you become his property. Sounds very bad today, but it's factual.
Y I u have to get a license from the county or state, you have to have a ceremony by a state licensed agent, somebody has to give you away, then the county or state must list publicly that she is now his wife basically taking her off the market, and if it don't work, you have to go to court, the same people that said she belonged to him, have to officially say she no longer belong to him and other men can approach and marry her.
