Thats how it almost always was in reality at the timespan of this game. But in EU4 we have totaler Krieg style "full siege me down". Of course a war being completely decided after just 1-3 battles would be too cheesy. Id like something in between. More warscore from battles, much more from occupying the enemies capital and wargoal points ticking up faster. Having to siege down all the remaining forts after you ve already won the war is just tedious.
ive had times where I totally stack wiped enemy armies until they had 0 troops but I hadn't occupied anything. Even while having nothing to resist me with they would not accept demands. I'd prefer a situation where the AI takes into account how "winnable" a war is when deciding if a peace deal is worth it or not
Not entirely, while the battles can make peace settlements, there is still an element, well doesn't fucking matter if you can't actually control the new lands or fully end me.
I really want this to be expanded upon. Like capturing rulers if they lead an army for extra warscore or the general diing after getting his army stack wiped.
I know a guy who took this to the next level. He even got a whole term named after him so he must be doing something right. Pyrite victory or something.
There should be a mod that allows the ai to “click the button” and do more of what the player can do, it’d be more interesting to see pu’s colonize, otherwise locked formables, etc
Hinestly i think oirat went ham because the tribal conquest cb is a "show superiority" goal. Buffing the warscore from battles even higher. Also just hordes win battles easier.
it's more realistic, I get fed up of wiping a OPM's army and needing to siege their capital down when in real life they would have sued for peace after their only fighting force was made to not exist.
One of the things I like about Vic 2 over EU4 is that it allows you to win more war score through battles. Sometimes a couple of fat wipes is all you need to get what you want.
Yes, AI can't form Yuan. It's weird because there are specific checks for AI in conditions and it even has a priority factor, but the actual chance for AI to click the button is 0. I guess they just copied the skeleton form other formables, and then decided that Yuan is way too ahistorical for the AI to form it or something.
I’m not surprised to see Muscovy do poorly early on, they usually lose lots of battles but win through attrition, burning down enemy manpower and eventually wining that way.
No mention of a huge Flanders at 8:46 which in the last shown political map was either allied or under France. Meaning France will become even more of a juggernaught.
Hey chewy, i would suggest if in future videos you use a mod that lets the AI form nations they normally would not form, for example the issue with yuan here
I think this is a good balance change tbh, having to full sneed every single person down sucks and isn't really fitting for wars of the period. Sometimes you'd see 1-2 battles decide an entire conflict, especially in the earlier years, and the game ends well before we entered the meat grinder stage of gatling guns and beyond...
Have you ever released a mod alongside a video that deletes all the tribal natives in the Americas? Would be a huge quality of life improvement performance wise
I think some cool mods that would maybe make it a bit more fun are "Dynamic culture conversion" "No AI Dhimmi authority" and "colored puppets". I'd love to see muslims and hindus actually convert other religions and see cultures just spread into weaker ones
It would be an interesting video if you could somehow disabled formable nations, as it seems like whenever a unique nation finally manages to get big they form a standard nation making it seem pretty pointless for them to have even grown big in the first place.
this is fun watching you do your scenarios in these sorts of games . is it alright if you do more civ 6 or Hearts of iron 4? but I just came here for the content so if you read this or not I jsut wanted to ask
France: Gets absolutely destroyed from day 1.
Burgundy: I'm 'bout to restart this man's whole career.

relative strength should also be a bigger factor, 50k troops vs 5k troops + capital occupied is just not worth fighting for ai for example

@@Cecilia-ky3uwDecisive battle then siege, not full siege you down.
I think the reason the mod makes AI blob more is because manpower lost from battles is probably still less than from sieges.
I really want this to be expanded upon. Like capturing rulers if they lead an army for extra warscore or the general diing after getting his army stack wiped.
then u should play ck3
@@sanholo9494 thanks for the recommendation!
There is an event for this for Ming vs. one of the hordes

In anbennar, if you play as jaddari when you kill zokka's general in battle you annex their whole country.
Of course, it's so simple! Winning battles wins wars. Someone send this to the Pentagon, it's obviously a strategy they've not tried before.
No it doesn’t smartass. Best example are the punic wars
It’s so shocking

What a turn table by "France".
Now make a 1000% war score from naval battles and let's see if Venice makes a world conquest
Kinda funny how the Dutch AI always is keen to colonize New York and the state of New Jersey love historical accuracy
Shoutout New Amsterdam

That mod is SO good. Makes the game much better, especially together with anti blobbing and decay mods

Burgubdy: The true France Napoleon could never achieve.
That Eranshair was likely released by Separatist Rebels, much like OPM Arabias and the like.

I did. It’s called Remove Natives

Eu4 but min autonomy is 90
👇
That would be really boring
This would be so good in vanilla!
Sieging down an entire countrey is just painfull and unrealistic
8:50 Quality content xD
I know it's not great but you should do one with Random New World
A bit sad to see such a boring new world at the end, but otherwise a really cool idea
i really like the music used at the beginning of the video dose anybody know the name. This mod probably should be used in a roleplay game
this is fun watching you do your scenarios in these sorts of games . is it alright if you do more civ 6 or Hearts of iron 4? but I just came here for the content so if you read this or not I jsut wanted to ask
I’d like to! I plan to as well, stay tuned :)
Victory from battles, and not from occupation, is not realistic.
In EU4, sieges are actually unrealistically easy.
thanks for the info
No they aren’t. You get hit with 5 status quo’s in a row whilst the ai somehow always gets a breach. Just unrealistically easy for the ai.
This mod should be in Vanilla ru4
Day 4 of asking chewy to do a campaign on Reformation centres but they spawn all over world and change religion to a random one.
you should do anbennar
