I have an Eversweet, planted specifically because the seeds were soft, good for salads. No one else likes them. Only one guy liked them for his kids since they were non-staining

Well that's sure a drag, what is it that they don't like about it? I would guess that for those who like more acidic flavor, the Eversweet could be disappointing. But it is at least a refreshing sweet flavor. Do you like it?

@@EdAbleSolutions-qw9zbI like them because they don't have hard seeds and can be eaten before full maturity. I wish there was an easy way to juice them.

What is the difference between sweet and eversweet?

Quite a bit, in that Sweet is a somewhat confused variety. I have been able to identify 3 different selections being called sweet. Sweet to me has light yellow with a blush of pink skin with light pink arils stainless and no detectable seed to speak of. a very fine flavored selection. Here's the rub, Another selection being called Sweet is likely Utah Sweet and it has darker pink skin with light stainless arils but chewy seeds, The last i have seen listed as Sweet Appear to be the variety White, with almost yellow/white skin and light pink somewhat detectable but edible seeds, It appears that Sweet and White came by way of the Chico State Germplasm repository and are old. The Utah Sweet was and LE Cooke introduction in more recent times (the 80's) and came by way of Nurserymen In Utah. The
Eversweet is a John Chater selection out of California and has been an established selection by reputable growers since the mid 80' it is a Medium to large fruit with Yellow and lots of Pink blushed skin. The large light stainless arils have slightly detectable seed. It has a long harvest and is ready in mid September. For my money the Eversweet is the safe bet if you are looking for that type of Pomegranate. I know its confusing, I spend a lot of time trying not to be confused during pomegranate season

@@EdAbleSolutions-qw9zb wow you are a fruit encyclopedia! Thanks!
I tasted an eversweet with a friend and it was very refresging. Not astringent, super sweet.
Like sugar cane juice with a hint of pomegranate.
