They basically friend you and give you a couple of free stuff to make you believe them, there are several tactics after that but the one they use the most is getting you to select all your titanics / huges and accept the trade telling you to cancel at the very last second in which you cannot do as they use an exploit to lag the client. This somehow works on some of the playerbase even though it looks very stupid to fall for.
