And when I needed help most, they turned a blind eye. That’s why I made it my personal mission to make sure they got what was coming to them. After a year of tormenting them, it finally came to a head.
“Please” they begged, holding onto the edge of a balcony, hanging on with there finger tips. Suddenly it hit me what was happening. What was I doing? I went to pull them up, when their hand slipped and they tumbled down, down, down. After looking at all I had put them through, I felt like a monster. One thing was certain; they didn’t deserve this.

On the second, it shows the main character’s friends tied up, as the main character is in shackles forced to watch.

Fun fact: The whole album (which has this song in it) tells a story. The most famous theory is that it tells the story of a guy names Simon. Simon sails to Hawaii maybe for vacation maybe to start a new life. Anyway he meets a girl (That is usally called Stella by the fans) and they both fell in love. One day they go to forest (which is explained in this song by the way). And either Simon himself (accidently) or someone else ends up killing the girl. The lyric "All for nothing at all" is what Simon says when he finally sees what he has done or find the deadbody. Later in the album Stella goes to heaven and Simon gets arrested for the murder. He pleads insanity, gets send to a insane asylum and gets electroshock threapy. He goes (more) insane. Then somehow he gets out of the asylum, he either escaped or just got released. Then he sails again but mentally and physically unprepared he gets lost at see. He then either dies to a siren that sounded like his dead girlfriend or just drowns. And then they again meet at heaven.
Finally telling her that I love her after 2 years and now everything is over...

When at the end of everything that is, the snail touches me and is left alone.
Reminds me of a moment of a comic I made: the mc has a final fight with the villain and in a fit of rage almost kills her. Before landing the final hit, he takes off her mask and sees his sister's face, one of the people he loved the most. She was working against him because he had a plan that could've resulted in an apocalypse, so she tried to sabotage him. I think this song could fit the moment very well.

Storyline:
Tw: slicing throat
You're an inspector, looking for the Bolton Murderer. A killer that's been on the loose for longer then you can remember. You've stared at their casefile so long you've forgotten your own name and replaced it with theirs.
None of it makes sense. It's senseless scribbles on a page. Bloody notes, fingerprints, gloves, baseball, photos, none of it makes sense. All of them a murder weapon for the worst human in history.
You felt hopeless. You feel as if your work is pointless. Every word is a mindless scribble. That was until you realised a vital piece you missed before. In the picture of the old observation tower. A shadow shaped like a hooded figure loomed over the towers light. Slinking away in the darkness inside the powerful beam. Chills ran up and down your spine as you stared deep at this chilling figure. It's shape even seemed inhumane like it's potentional murders.
However when it's late at night bad things happen. It could just be a play on shadows in the midnight sky. "No-no it can't be" you convince yourself it's real and began gazing across the very little evidence all your days of hard labour could muster up. In every picture. That shadow is there. Looming. Lurking. Searching for it's victim.
Your eyes shoot up at your door handle as you succumb to your new found paranoia. Sleepless nights do that to the mind. Bloodshot gazes shot around the room and darted until the window came into sight, a flapping window blind came to eye.
"Cold.." You say to yourself. But as you move to shut the window you look back over to your chair but as you move. You feel a cold and leather wearing hand wrap around your frail wrist.
"Get off of me!" You exclaimed but your office was empty. Your house cleared after hard years. The hand soon became an arm then a leg then a full presence. You felt your heart jump to your throat. Your instinct kicked in like an adrenaline shot. Run. You can't run. Hide. You can't hide. Fight. You can barely.. fight.
Seconds later as your brain set into overdrive. You felt the cold edge of a steel blade press to your gullet.
"All..for nothing at all..detective" a voice behind you spoke in a distorted voice before a metallic sound then deafening silence. Just the blood curdling feeling of warm liquid seeping from the seams of your gullet.
Part two.
After the detectives body was found there were many more deaths and disappearances. They had a investigation started but couldn’t get anything since no one had ever seen it and live to say so. They dropped the case and everything went back to normal. A couple years later in 1968 a fugitive had just robed a bank and after he got to his hideout he was brutally cut open. They looked for the killer for days but couldn’t find anything.. until a civilian was walking along the side of the road and looked through the window and saw a man being tortured by a dark figure. He had alerted the authorities and they came, but when they arrived it was too late. After years of investigation the case was dropped again. You wake up from a 2 hour long nap to footsteps coming from downstairs you go to investigate but there’s nothing. You got to your room and feel breathing on the back of your neck. Suddenly you black out and wake up to yourself being tied up in a chair in a weird room. You scream but no one can hear your blood curdling screams. (All for nothing at All..) Your body was found dumped in a river 2 months later. The murderer was never found.
John Dark Souls after reaching the end of the world and slaying Slave Knight realizing the linking of the flame was only delaying the inevitable and after all his work across 3 games, he could not slay the Dark Soul within meaning it was all for nothing. His body ebbs and turns hollow and the last of humanity drifts away as a forgotten dream just as the last light from the sun fades into the cold embrace of the abyss.
