Glad to hear that, I was hoping it was super helpful. Yeah, I feel like the skill of figuring out a tempo from a score is not talked about much, and I've noticed from experience that it's not even taught much in lessons. You'll see musicians getting higher level degrees in college/universities who just play how fast their teacher says or just listen to recordings. Those things aren't bad necessarily, but you should also have a good estimate based on the score/era too. It'd be like a college musician not knowing how to read flats and sharps and just using recordings to fix it 🤣🤣 I mean, it's a decent way to confirm you got it right, but shouldn't be the only method.
Allegro does not mean "fast", because presto means "fast". Therefore allegro is best characterized as lively, but not really fast. Allegro molto is, nearly presto.
I'm in love with your videos!!
Commenting for the algorithm! Love your channel!
Haha, thanks! I really appreciate it! The algorithm does seem to love the comments.
Sometimes I'm grateful that I didn't even know this was a problem a person could have.

Hi Ryan, when it comes to Allegro, l would request my teacher to demonstrate a little bit for me according to my capacity. Thanks for sharing.
Cool. Hope this helps when you don't have a teacher to demonstrate and also let's you know a little maybe how your teacher is figuring out out.
@@ryanabshier you are also a great online piano teacher, we are grateful to have you, thanks again, and have a wonderful weekend.
