When the director doesn't know how to film action

Batman Begins is not talked about nearly enough compared to the other movies in the dark knight trilogy. While it is one of Christopher Nolan's earliest films and is very flawed, there is still so much to love about it. I love Christian Bale's portrayal of Batman and his scene at the docks plays a massive role in that. Many of the action scenes have some questionable editing but the way Batman is presented in the Dock scene has everything I love about the titular Dark Knight!

I personally like Batman Begins more than The Dark Knight Rises in Nolan's Trilogy, but you can tell that he was forced to tone down his "Nolan Style" for this one and go more by the book, before he got his "do whatever tf you want card" and make The Dark Knight.

I definitely think Batman Begins is a stronger film than Dark Knight Rises. DKR drags a lot and sacrifices a lot of narrative cohesion for scale.

@@LavenderRex7705 I think there is a lot of behind the scenes stuff going on, like how Nolan never wanted to do another sequel without Heath and out of respect to his family, but was pressured to anyway, and it shows in the very plotholed plot. Its a movie that needed 2 parts or one 3 hour length.
