Glad to see that people in the UK are still able to achieve the humane training results that help their dog live a better life with tools that are amazing. The prong collar is a game changer for owners and dogs with high drive and strength. I speak from my own experience, having used prong collars on large and small dogs. My dogs are all happy, healthy, and enjoy their walks. They have never been afraid or hurt by the prong collar, contrary to what the uneducated dog trainers would have you believe.

We are about to transition from the slip collar to the prong collar so this video is perfect timing. It's the choking herself out that is our problem when she see anything of interest and when you least expect it.
Thank you so much for the video, we appreciate the videos, love from Canada

Totally agree! My girl loves other dogs, but gets to that point where she's SO driven and excited and wants the attention that she panics and will nearly choke herself out to get to the friend. This might be a game changer for us.

Same for my dog. He gets so excited when he see other dogs that he chokes himself and won’t stay still.

I’ve been through a very similar issue with my male Vizsla using the same approach. This is great video for anyone that is struggling. My best advice would be to get in contact with a balanced behaviourist like these guys. It will the best time and money you could spend to improve your life with your dog.

Hello, fellow Australian here (Queenslander to be exact), what do I do if prong collar are prohibited for use here? My dog also gags and chokes himself when he sees another dog on a slip lead. What should I do? My slip lead is quite thick, should I op for thinner slip leads so the pressure is dispersed in a thinner area?

The thinner the slip collar the more communication it provides however it is important to condition and fit the slip lead correctly. It is also important to implement all the basics and foundations to help with his lead walking too and teach him what you want him to do while finding out what tools/methods are most suited for him. I recommend joining our online VIP group which is free for the first 7 days and you can talk to our online trainers for personal advice on this specific issue! Membership - Southend Dog Training

Find a trainer who is registered to use the prong collars. My friend (NSW) got one for her dog via her trainer.

@@thalassophile1665agree. Its always good to educate urself and the dog on new a tool under an expert’s supervision. Especially if its prong or e collar, coz if you mess it up then you’ll have to go to expert anyways.
